Studies On The Biological Characters And DUS Testing Guideline For Cotinus Coggygria Scop

In this text,biological characters on C.coggygria Scop were studied.Based on the collected relevant references,we have a further understanding of distribution of C.coggygria Scop resources in our country,and work out DUS testing guideline for new varieties of C.coggygria Scop through the research of C.coggygria Scop varieties in some regions of Beijing.The main conclusions of this thesis are as follow:(1) Different varieties of C.coggygria Scop have different phenological phases,and there is also a different growing period between those varieties. C.coggygria'Royal Purple'has the longest growing period, followed by C.coggygria'Zixia'and C.coggygria var.cinerea, The shortest growing period is C.coggygria var. pubescens.(2) Cotinus coggygria'Royal Purple'and C.coggygria var.purpurens have similar changing trends of leaf development, on the eighteenth day,the leaf stop growing;Followed by C.coggygria var.cinerea and C.coggygria var. pubescens; C.coggygria'Zixia'needs the longest leaf growing time,around 25 days.(3) During the whole growing season,the contents of chlorophyll, chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b and carotenoid of C.coggygria var.pubescens and C.coggygria var.cinerea are lower than the other three varieties,at the meantime, there is also a difference of the anthocyanins content changing trend between different varieties.At the same growth period,there is a significant difference of pigments content between different C.coggygria Scop varieties,at the different growth periods, content of pigments also have significant differences among the different varieties, which show that variety and growing season could have significant influence on the content of pigments.(4) The research has accomplished the investigation of the resources of C.coggygria Scop varieties in Beijing,and the morphological study of those varieties.At the same time,we consult relevant literature,sort out the list of 14 published C.coggygria Scop varieties which also with detailed records,and record the detailed information with photos for the other 6 new varieties for C. coggygria Scop.(5) Through the combination of literatures and field investigations,after the arrangement of nowadays existing resources of C.coggygria Scop varieties,we select.28 stable features as the character features of the testing guideline.So based on these,the DUS testing guideline for the new varieties for C.coggygria Scop was designed.
