Astilbe plants are suitable perennial flowers in Harbin, its low maintenance characteristics of a major plant categories using in the North. Different light environments affect the quality of its growth, the study on adaptation to light condition of Astilbe has not been reported so far.In the paper, A. chinensis,A. koreana,A.'Peach Blossom',A.'Cattleya',A. chinesis'pumile',A.'Darwins Dream'were chosen as the materials for the researches of photosynthetic characteristics, light response characteristics, growth, photosynthetic variation, under different shading leves(0,30%,50%,70%of full light). for the rational design of plants used in light conditions down to provide the scientific basis for the bride. The results show that the six kinds of Astilbe ability to adapt has the following characteristics:1. six types of Astilbe have different light Adaptability:A. chinensis,A. koreana,A. 'Cattleya',A. chinesis'pumile',A.'Darwins Dream'5 kinds of Astilbe, the most suitable environment for the 30% light shade, all-optical and 50% shading to normal growth, but the photosynthetic characteristics, growth than 30% shade. Not suitable for the growth of 70% shade. Five kinds of light conditions suitable is 30% shading> optical> 50% shade> 70% shade; A.'Peach Blossom'the most suitable environment for all-optical light, with the shade of the increase, the photosynthetic characteristics, the drop in the growth of it suitable environment for the all-optical light>30% shade> 50% shade> 70% shade.2. Different shade of light environment, the characteristics of net photosynthetic rate:A. koreana,A.'Cattleya',A. chinesis'pumile',A.'Darwins Dream'4 kind of Astilbe, the 30% shading has maximum photosynthetic rate, net photosynthetic rate from big to small is:30% shade> optical> 50% shade> 70% shade; A. chinensis from big to small for the net photosynthetic rate:30% shade> 50% shade> optical> 70% shade. A. chinesis'pumile'in all light conditions while has the maximum net photosynthetic rate, as shading intensity increased, the net photosynthetic rate decreased.3. Different shade of light environment, the six kinds of Astilbe response characteristics parameters:in the 30% shade conditions, the light compensation point of less than full light conditions, light saturation point higher than the all-optical conditions, the apparent quantum efficiency and net photosynthetic rate higher than the light conditions; 50% shade conditions, the light compensation point of less than full light conditions, light saturation point higher than the full light conditions, but A. koreana,A.'Peach Blossom',A.'Cattleya',A.'Darwins Dream'apparent quantum efficiency, net photosynthetic rate lower than the all-optical conditions; 70% shade conditions, the photosynthetic capacity of 6 Astilbe off the bride down.4. Different shade of light environment, the six kinds of Astilbe biomass off the bride, physiology characteristics:30% off the bride in the shade plant height and leaf area under all light conditions, respectively, increased by 28.8% and 6.6%; 50% shade conditions (except for A.'Peach Blossom'away) plant height and leaf area than all light, but less than 30% shade. Under 70% shade lower than the ratio of height and leaf area of all-optical. the six kinds of Astilbe changes of water content in leaves was: 50% shading> 30% shade> 70% shading> optical. Changes of cell membrane permeability was:70% shading> 50% shade> 30% of the shade> of all-optical.5. Under different shade of light, chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b content, chlorophyll a/b value variations are:chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b content of shade intensity increased with the rising trend of chlorophyll a/b values with increasing shade to reduce the intensity, they has a certain flexibility.The above results, by different shading conditions off the bride on the six kinds of light compensation point, light saturation point, apparent quantum yield, plant height, leaf area, leaf water content, membrane permeability and chlorophyll content and other factors affecting the analysis,6 kinds of Astilbe shade tolerance from big to small:A. chinensis>A. 'Cattleya'>A.'Darwins Dream'>A.chinesis'pumile'>A.koreana>A.'Peach Blossom'.
