This research chooses three species of color-leaf plants to carry on the introduction cultivation in Sanming, observed in detail of Ligustrum japonicum'Howardii',Prunus×Cistena,Abelia grandiflora'Francis Mason' . Including these three species of color-leaf plants'phenophase characteristic, growth rhythm ,illumination, fertilizer and warter ecology compatibilities, meanwhile has conducted the preliminary study to the introduction color-leaf plant's reproduction technology.Summarized three species of color-leaf plants to grow seedlings with the cultural technique.This will provide the reference for three species of color-leaf plants application in Sanming area. Carried on the investigation to color leaf plant's botanical garden application present situation in the foundation in Sanming area, proposed three species of color leaf plant's reasonable application principle and the attention question. The main findings are as follows:1. Three species of color-leaf plants'phenophase characteristic observation result indicated that, three species of color leaf plants grow peak in March to June, the spring grows the quantity to be biggest, they grow the quantity are next best in summer and autumn, they grow quantity are least in winter.2. Survives the winter the investigation result to indicate that, three species of color-leaf plants can survive the winter safely.Plant disease investigation result showed that, the Prunus×Cistena insect pest are many, if has not carried on preventing and controlling, can affect ornamental; Ligustrum japonicum'Howardii'loyal plant disease is light; The Abelia grandiflora'Francis Mason' disease resistances are strong. 3. Shade processing experiment demonstration: three species of color-leaf plants display the best color under the entire illumination, under 25% entire illuminations the leaf blade can turn green.4. The cuttage experimental result indicated that Ligustrum japonicum'Howardii'taking root leads is loyally high with the middle cuttage,and Abelia grandiflora'Francis Mason'takes root to lead loyally high with the base cuttage, but Prunus×Cistena department takes root to lead high with top section of the branch . Three species of color-leaf plants contrast cuttage experiment indicated that, using the marly soil + vermiculite (1:1) is best, using yellow soil born root rate is lowest.Ligustrum japonicum'Howardii'and Abelia grandiflora'Francis Mason' pickling IBA with 50ppm 1 hour take root to lead high; Prunus×Cistena with the reproduction method survival rate is higher than grafting method .5. According to three species of color leaf plant Sanming area's biological observation, the compatible research as well as the reproduction engineering research, proposed three species of color leaf plant grows seedlings the reproduction in Sanming and the cultural technique, provides the technical reference for the production6. The survey result indicated, in the color leaf plant application, the color leaf plant application is few in Sanming area, in which occupies most by ordinary color-leaf tree, fall scenery leaf is next best.
