Tractor play an important role in China's agriculture, its walking system is coming out by the transmission which can transfer the engine's power to the rear axle. So, the transmission perform an impact performanceon vehicle. Research the better performance, reasonable structure, lower cost of transmission has become urgent. But the traditional design cycle is too longer, not easy to find problems in the design process. The virtual prototype can simulate the real environment, fast and accurate analysis the model.Modifies the optimization model and achieving the modernization, improve design performance efficiency and cost savings.The article has made a depth study of the tractor's transmission in various aspects. Include the main part's parameters modeling technology in PRO / E, including the gear, bearing, spline shaft and so on. Assembly the models, interference analysis, and then import the model by MECH / PRO into virtual simulation software. Impose pairs, drives and the necessary MARKER points, via by MODEL-VERIFY to verify the prototype assembly interference. Prove the prototype model is feasible.Gear is the core component in transmission, Reference the HERTZ elastic contact theory ,In-depth analysis the affect elements on the dynamics of gear mesh, and the reference focus is all on the stiffness, damping coefficient, breakdown depth, non-linear index selection, repeated the test, select the appropriate type of simulation. The experiment proved that the gear meshing force, excitation frequency is consistent with the theory. Consistent with the actual prototype model is feasible. This platform can used to study the dynamics of gear and provide support. In addition, based on virtual simulation software can also post processing on the output shaft, various articulated analysis of the dynamics. The load spectrum values obtained in ADAMS can be further provided for the finite element analysis's data support.Using MATLAB to the transmission's first stall as an example. Using the nonlinear optimization toolbox function goals, put the optimize results into the PRO / E model, then generate a new model rapidly. Import the new model in ADAMS and then compare with the original parameters model, analysis the dynamics performance, draw conclusions. Proved virtual prototyping technology could rapid, accurate, and intuitive for engineering analysis. In this paper, the transmission platform for simulation and optimization analysis, can improve the efficiency of transmission,make further contribution to improve the tractor transmission.
