Investigation Of Fishery Resources In Fengxi River

Fengxi River flows from east to west in Guangfeng county. Originated in Wuyi mountains, Fujian province, it runs through Tongban, Shatian, Wudu, Yongfeng and Yangkou, then into the river of Xinjiang River, and with a total length of 117 km, and the basin area of 2233km~2. The fish growth season is long, total to 320 days, and the best season for 192 days. Locating in a subtropical monsoon climate zones, the basin has warm climate, four distinct seasons, adequate light, with plenty of rainfall, a wet spring, hot summer, autumn drought and cold winter.I. 89 species of fish were collected in the visits. This 89 species of fish belongs to 5 kinds of category, 16 sorts of branchs in Fengxi river in Guangfeng. The number of Cyprinidae totaled to 50 is the maximum in the specimens, accounting to 56.18%.The Cobitidae 11 species, accounting to 12.4%; the Bagridae totaled to 7 species, accounting to 7.9%; Serranidae 5species, accounting to 5.6%; Homalopteridae 3 species; Sisoridae and Amblycipidigae each have 2 species; other 9 branch each have 1species, accouting to17.9%.II. The Fengxi River fishery can be divided into four ecological types: (1) Lakes and Rivers settle in fish ,such as Cyprinus carpio haematopterus,Carassius auratus auratus and so on. (2) the River and Lake Semi-migratory fish ,such as Mylopharyngogon piceus,Ctenopharyngogon idellus,Hypophthalmichthys molitrix,Aristichthys nobilis and so on. (3) Mountain Settlement fish, such as Glyptothorax sinenses,Channa argus and so on. (4) Migration of Salt and Fresh Water fish, Anguillajaponica only.III. The Fengxi River roughly 89 kinds of fish can be divided into districts of the Department of V complex. I. China Plain Fauna Complex, include Mylopharyngogon piceus,Ctenopharyngogon idellus,Hypophthalmichthys molitrix,Aristichthys nobilis and other 41 species, 46.07% of total. II. Fauna of the South Plains Complex, include Channa argus,Leiocassis spp.,Monopterus albus,Mastacembelus aculeatus and other 17 species, accouting to 19.10%. III. Department of the South Mountain complex, include Homalopteridae,Amblycipidigae,Sisoridae and other 7species, accouting to 7.87%. IV. Fauna of the North Plains Complex, contain Carassius auratus gibelio,Pseudorasbora parva,Pesudogobio spp. and other 12, accouting to 13.48%.V. Neogene Early Fauna Complex, contain Rhodeus spp.,Misgurnus anguillicaudatus,Cobitis spp. and other 12, accouting to 13.48%.IV. The main economic fish in Fengxi River contain Hemibarbus maculatus,Mylopharyngogon piceus,Ctenopharyngogon idellus,Hypophthalmichthys molitrix,Aristichthys nobilis,Cyprinus carpio haematopterus,Silurus asotus and other 7species. The Fishing mortality f of those fish were 0.734,0.236,0.287,0.457,0.447,0.665,0.297; the Total Death RateΨwere 0.825,0.308,0.418,0.585,0.549,0.747,0.438; The Development Rate E were 0.889,0.745,0.688,0.792,0.817,0.876,0.673.
