Cow endometritis is one of com common illness, which pose enormous economy expenses cow cultivation. The experiment in vitro was done for the Chinese herbs and on inhibiting the pathogen bacteria of dairy cow endometritis in our laboratory. The composed Chinese herbal, which is used for therapy on endometritis in dairy cow, were screened our by orthogonal principle. The result indicated that the components of Chinese herbal had apparently bacteriostatic functions, had markedly anti-inflammatory, had no anaphylaxis and had gentle irritation on mucosa system. The Chinese herbal, with the method of intrauterine infusion, had an obvious effect for dairy cow with endometritis. Lysozyme was one kind of high efficacy, low side effect and cheap antibacterial preparation. So it had special advantage in the treatment of endometritis.By analyzing the reason of cow endometritis, based on the basic theory of the traditional Chinese veterinary medicine, and with the results of these former two experiments, the Chinese herbal suppositories and the lysozyme effervescent suppositories with Chinese herbal and Lysozyme as the main materials were screened through orthogonal experiments.In order to measure the physics characters of these two suppositories, the shape, the color, the melt time and the weight differences, the melting points, the pH and the transfiguration temperature were measured. In order to test the action of these suppositories, 40 endometritis cows in a farm were selected. these dairy cows were randomly assigned to four groups: The first Group (n=10) were treated with the composed Chinese herbal, the second Group(n=10) were treated with the Chinese herbal suppositories,the third Group(n=10)were treated with the lysozyme effervescent suppositories, the four Group(n=10)were treated with the Chinese herbal suppositories and the lysozyme effervescent suppositories, The blood samples from external jugular vein were collected at the 0h,24h,48h,72h to measure the change of NO,NOS,MDA,T-AOC. The results indicated that the melt time of the experiment suppository: the Chinese herbal suppository was 18 minutes, the lysozyme effervescent suppositories was about 13 minutes, and it conformed to the melt time of suppository. The conlour of these suppositories was consistent, the surface was smooth, the Chinese herbal suppository was black, the lysozyme effervescent suppositories was white, and no delamination were found, both of them had some rigidity, and don't turn rancid and distort in preservation. The suppository could be melted or softened at body temperature. the melting point of Chinese herbal suppository was 35~36℃, the melting point of lysozyme effervescent suppositories was 36~37℃. The deformation temperature: the Chinese herbal suppository was 37℃,the lysozyme effervescent suppositories was 38℃.In these experiments, the food intake, feces, breath, central nervous system, body temperature, four limbs activity of these cows had no changes after administer the suppository in uterus. The outcome showed that the medicines can abatement the content of NO and the activity of NOS in serum of these cows. And improve the activity of T-AOC in the serum , decrease the level of MDA. It was indicated that the organism mobilized the antioxidation ability and decreased the peroxidation degree of the lipid to discard endosomatic profuse oxygen free radicals for the purpose of abscising inflammation and restoring the damaged endometrium cells.
