Recently, the uasage of veterinary drugs keeps increasing in our country with many varieties and its usage scope becomes more and more extensive. In today when the food safety is generally paid attention to, the influence of veterinary drugs on the quality of animal-source products becomes very promonent and the harm of veterinary drugs residue on most consumers' health and life is paid much attention to.With the development of economic and trade globolization, the animal husbandry and livestock breeding in our country will face fierce international competition. Several international trade disputes and SPS circulate information of each country in the world that happen in recent years have shown that veterinary drugs residue problem has become the obstacle of the livestock breeding of our country to go to the world. In order to restrict veterinary drugs residue strictly, our country has accelerated to make up the standard and technological legislation about veterinary drugs residue since 1990 and keeps perfecting veterinary drugs residue system, establishes veterinary drugs residue feeler mechanism and develops veterinary drugs residue monitoring work. But meanwhile we must know that there is difference in the aspects of veterinary drugs residue monitoring and technological level between our country and the developed country. Because the livestook breeding in European Union mostly adopts factory production, veterinary drugs reseach, drug-use scope and drug-use variety etc. are more complicated than our country. European Union is the import big power for animal-source products of our country, however, in recent years, it makes use of advanced technology to set up higher technological barrier for several times, causing great obstacle for foreign trade of our country and attacking our market. In order to grasp the basic condition of veterinary drugs residue in our country more correctly and utilize technological trade measure of international organization and developed countries, to make use of our advantages, construct technological barrier and effectively protect animal-source products in our country from being attacked by foreign products, at first, this project makes deeply research on veterinary drugs residue standard system of our country from the aspects of laws, regulations, standard of veterinary drugs, veterinary drugs residue restriction and veterinary drugs residue test method etc. to find out the built-in problem of veterinary drugs residue standard system of our country. On the basis of consulting a great quantity of documents, the author analyses the contents of the veterinary drugs residue standard system framework of European Union, scientific basis, developmental process and controlling measure of restricted setting-up, and evolution and change of veterinary drugs residue restriction etc. and does comparative analysis with veterinary drugs residue system of our country. Then the author proposes to utilize the relevant ideas of European Union's constructing veterinary drugs residue standard system, advise to select sample of specific veterinary drugs residue and give relevant measure and responsing advice on the key test field of import animal-source products veterinary drugs residue variety of our country. This project provides scientific basis and technological support for standadizing the production of animal-source products of our country, guaranteeing the quality safety of animal-source products of our country, promoting export trade and continuously perfecting veterinary drugs residue standard system and veterinary drugs residue monitoring work of our country. The deadline of the field data in this research report is December 2007.
