China is one of the fastest development countries in potato growing all over the world. Its growing area is about 5 million hectare. Potato is the crop that has largest growing area in China and covers all parts of the country. Potato harvesting mainly depend on artificial digging and animal power in most region in China, Harvesting in small areas use artificial digging with spade and hoe. In large area employ digging plough of animal power. In recent years, development and exploitation of potato harvester have developed rapidly. But most of them belong to spreading piece. Potato was dug and then gathered artificially. This means has low efficiency and strong working intensity. Even whole level of the mechanization is very low, which will restrict the development of the potato industry. Therefore, adapting to compete of globalization and internationalization, basing on the situation of our country, and suiting requirement of the market in time, The 4M-2 potato combine harvester was devised using a new design method (virtual prototyping). This machine can conduct digging and then transport potatoes to collecting box. It can achieve aim to harvesting and collecting at the same time.Comparing with traditional design process of product, it can carry through testing of prototype, find out and detect potential problem before manufacturing entity prototype with virtual prototyping, at the same time, it can shorten 40 %~70% exploitation period of product design ,predigest process of product exploitation ,debase cost of product study, obtain optimization and innovation of design product, enhance capability of enterprise facing to face buyer and suit requirement of the market in time, it can also improve quality of product. This paper expatiate on how modeling the important parts and machine of 4M-2 potato combine harvester transportation systems with ADAMS (Automatic Dynamic Analysis of Mechanical Systems) software, how changing file format of ADAMS into file format of Solidworks and ANSYS, it carry through simulating analysis and studying dynamic of the important parts and machine of 4M-2 potato combine harvester transportation systems, making sure the main parameter of transportation systems.The breadth of digging shovel is 120cm, and the working resistance of digging shovel is less than 6500N; The vibrating frequency of vibrating separating equipment is 42.1Hz,and the separator setting angle is 17 degree, vibrator frequency, radius of long axis and short axis are 8.89Hz, 69mm and 55mm respectively; The optimized working velocity of combine harvester rang from 3km/h to 4.83km/h;The working surface of transverse transporter are composed of poles which diameter are 6mm,and the angle of working surface is 12°; The belt diameter of separator of stem is 12mm, which is made up of 9 belts, the framework of stem separator take on separating effect in simulation ; The baffle high of tilting conveyor is 100cm, and the angle of baffle and belt is 60°. At one time, this paper also research motional situation and dynamic performance of potato. The results show that the simulation parameter accord with motional characteristic of transportation systems, so model is feasible.
