Just in this paper, pot and field experiments were conducted to study interaction between arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and Meloidogyne incognita. Cucumber and melon were taken as experimental crops. The results showed that:1 Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi can promote the growth of plants suffered from root-knot nematodes. Inoculation of AM fungi in 2006's pot experiment, greatly increased cucumber height, stem diameter, dry mass of shoots or roots, especially, inoculation with G.m2 increased cucumber plant height, stem diameter, shoot dry weight and dry weight by 38.7%,6.8%,47.5% and 37.1% respectively. Pot experiment in 2007 showed that inoculation of G.m2 on cucumber resulted in best growth regardless of the height or shoot dry weight. Additionally it has been found that inoculation of G.m2 significantly increased yield of melon in field experiment.2 Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi decreased the number of galls per root system and the disease index. In 2006 and 2007 pot experiment, inoculation of AM fungi decreased the number of galls per root system and the disease index. The lowest of disease index has been found in treatment of G.m2, followed by H, Ge and Gc treatment.3 Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi restrained root-knot nematodes. Root-knot nematodes have been restrained by AM fungi in 2007 pot experiment. On the 60th day, treatment G.m2 and H showed the best effect for restraining root-knot nematodes by 45%, and then followed by Ge and Gc which was 40%. On the 90th day, treatment G.m2 and H kept the best effect for restraining root-knot nematodes by 40%, followed by Ge and Ad which reached 30%, other treatment was lower than 30%. The effect of restraining root-knot nematodes has been found being decreased along with the growth of cucumber.4 In 2007 pot experiment, mycorrhizal infection varies widely among different treatments, and at late stage AM fungal infection rate dropped. with highest rates of infection, G.m2 and H restrained root-knot nematodes higher than 40%,indicating that establishment of symbiotic mycorrhizal system was helpful to restrain root-knot nematodes.5 Different arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi have different impact on meloidogyne incognita. Inoculation of G.mosseae,G.etunicatum,A.mellea and H,can reduce number of galls significantly compared with the control, the best retraining effectiveness has been found on treatment of G.mosseae and H by 40%, meanwhile the effectiveness of others was not significant. Inoculation of G.mosseae BGC XJ 01and G.mosseae BGC JX 01 separately, the former did not reduce number of galls and number of galls per root system significantly, while the later did significantly.
