The experiments were completed in the Tea Study Station of Shandong Agricultural University from March,2005 to July,2007.The experiments were consisted of two parts:(1) the tea seeds were treated by the factors as low temperature,hormone and peel off or not,then the influence of these factors on germination and growth of tea seeds was investigated;(2) the acid reagents or fertilizers such as ferrous sulfate,aluminous sulfate,sulfur,urea wrapped with sulfur and the acidified peat were applied to the brown soil of tea garden. Then the effect of these acids on the pH value of soil and the germination and growth of tea seeds and one-year plants was compared.The results indicated as followed:(1) Exogenous hormone treatments have the remarkable influences on germination and growth of tea seeds,the effects of GA3 are better than 6-BA. High concentration of GA3+6-BA can reduce the leaf number of tea seedlings and inhibit the growth of the roots in some extent,and it may cut down elongation of roots,the root length of the treated samples is only 24.24~93.45%that of CK.However,the samples treated by low concentration of GA3+6-BA showed no remarkable difference from CK.At the same time, exogenous GA3+6-BA can also hasten transverse growth of stem roots and cut down the growth of fibres.The treatment of 100mg/L GA3+6-BA can promote the leaf growth,while 200mg/L treatment has some inhibition(2) The treatments of low temperature(5℃) and peel off have no remarkable effects on the growth of tea seedlings.Otherwise,the low temperature treatment with long time can make seeds lose their moisture excessively,which will descend the germination rate of tea seeds.Therefore, the time of treatment with low temperature should be within 30 days.(3) By the analysis of the pH in the soil and the items related to the germination of tea seeds and the growth of tea seedlings,the results showed the best acid is aluminous sulfate,the better acids are the urea wrapped with sulfur,the sulfur and the acidified peat in sequence,but the acid effect of the ferrous sulfate is low.(4) The best integrated technology for tea seedlings is followed as: firstly,the tea seeds are infused with the solution of(100mg/L GA3+6-BA)+ 0.5%foliar fertilizer(named Lunong) +0.5%potassic hydrogenous phosphate, then sowed in the soil pretreated by the urea wrapped with the sulfur.
