| With the society development , competition becomes more and more serious in all walks of life, as well as in secondary agricultural vocational schools in Guangxi. How to deal with the situation? In other words, it may be a quality competition of teachers in its own field. In view of the particularity of these vocational schools, it may mean a quality competition of dual-function teachers. Since animal & veterinary sciences is a key speciality in these schools, and further, its leading position becomes increasingly prominent, the qualities of dual-function teachers of this speciality may have typical sense. These teachers may be representatives of other similar teachers of other specialities. Hence, this research tries to find out and analyze the quality situation of dual-function teachers of animal & veterinary sciences. Based on it, practical suggestions will be offered to improve their qualities increasingly. Meanwhile, helpful references will also be offered to the strategy of making brand-effect teachers in secondary agricultural vocational schools in Guangxi, and to be helpful for the competition as well.Combination of questionnaire and academic analysis is means of this research. Assisted with interviews and information consulting, questionnaire to those animal & veterinary sciences teachers from 7 secondary agricultural vocational schools in Guangxi is used as major means to fetch information such as their sex, age, educational qualifications, professional rank and titles and so on. Quality situations including their educational views, competences, practical skills and health conditions have also been investigated. The result shows that they all have a clear idea about their goals. Meanwhile, they respect their students and correct their violative behaviors democratically. Moreover, they have various kinds of competences, such as to catch the frontier development of their own profession, offer career guidance, learn a new skill in a short period of time, manage class, etc. Offering skill services for society and instructing students in practice are both their advantages. What's more, their teaching methods are flexible, and assume a lot of daily teaching work. However, the imperfectness may lie in that the ratio of animal & veterinary sciences teachers at different ages is not reasonable. In addition, those who handle pre-service teaching still own relatively low qualifications. Intermediate level of professional rank occupies an unreasonable high proportion. Furthermore, dual-function teachers with high qualities are rare. Most teachers are poor at theory. They can not develop new vocational courses and compile teaching material fit to actual industry situation. What's more, they are weak in educational research and popularizing science and technology. In view of the situation, practical suggestions here are that:1) to realize the importance of the qualities of animal & veterinary sciences teachers as soon as possible; 2)uniform requirements for teachers' jobs should be set up, and crucial points should be focused on as well; 3) to improve animal & veterinary sciences teachers' qualities comprehensively, and to develop and perfect their training net; 4) the dual-function teachers training system of animal & veterinary sciences should be developed and perfected meanwhile. |
