The larvae and D-shell larvae of Argopecten irradians irradians (Lamarck,1819) were regarded as the research object in this paper. The research studied the effect on the livability and growth of the larvae and D-shell larvae of Argopecten irradians irradians in exposure to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and ultraviolet B(UV-B) radiation. Then the paper studied the influence of PAH and UV-B interactions to the larvae under controlled laboratory conditions. Results showed as follows:A. The effects of PAH and UV-B to the larvae of Argopecten irradians1.The effects of PAH to the larvae of Argopecten irradians irradiansThere were no significantly differences between the acetone treatment and the control. The deadly effect of anthracene treatments was significantly different from control. The livabilities of larvae declined with the time of the anthracene treatment and the increasing of anthracene concentration. The livabilities of larvae under PAH treatment were about 0 at 48h.The acetone treatment didn't show significantly inhibition to the growth of larvae. The extent of width and length of larvae was small at 36h under all the treatment. But the growth of the control was quicker than PAH treatments. So the anthracene could suppressed the growth of larvae.2. The effects of UV-B to the larvae of Argopecten irradiansThe livabilities of larvae declined with the dose of UV-B radiation increasing and the frequency of the UV-B radiation.Low dose of UV-B radiation could stimulated the growth of the larvae and the other UV-B treatments inhibited the growth.3. The effects of PAH and UV-B interaction to the larvae of Argopecten irradiansThe livabilities of larvae under the PAH and UV-B interaction treatment were lower than those under the PAH treatment. However, The extent of width and length of larvae was larger than the control, and also growth was quicker.B. The effects of PAH and UV-B to the D-shell larvae of Argopecten irradians1. The effects of PAH to the D-shell larvae of Argopecten irradiansThe deadly effect of anthracene treatments to D-shell larvae were significantly different from control, and there was no significantly difference in the acetone treatment. The livabilities of D-shell larvae declined with the time of the anthracene treatment and the increasing of anthracene concentration. The acetone treatment didn't show significantly inhibition to the growth of D-shell larvae. The anthracene treatments significantly inhibited the width and length of larvae since 24h, and the extent of width and length also smaller than the control and acetone treatment.2. The effects of UV-B to the D-shell larvae of Argopecten irradiansThe deadly effect of UV-B treatments were significantly differences from the control. The deadly effect of acetone treatment was not significant. The livabilities of D-shell larvae declined slowly by the acting time. At the same time ,the livabilities of D-shell larvae dropped following the increased dose of UV-B radiation. The extent of width and length of larvae under UV-B treatments was smaller than the control, except the low dose of UV-B radiation. The low dose of UV-B radiation stimulated the growth of D-shell larvae.3. The effects of PAH and UV-B interaction to the D-shell larvae of Argopecten irradiansThe deadly effect of acetone treatment was no significantly differences from the control. The deadly effect of other three treatments were significantly differences from the control. The livabilities of D-shell larvae declined slowly by the acting time. At same time ,the livabilities of D-shell larvae under the PAH and UV-B interaction treatment were much lower than PAH treatment and UV-B treatment. The deadly of acetone treatment to the growth was no significantly differences with the control. The width and length under control were larger than the other three treatment. But the width and length unde PAH and UV-B interaction treatment were bigger than the respectively of PAH and UV-B until the livabilities were to 0.
