As one of the most complicated, the highest productivity and the most richest biodiversity zonal vegetation type in subtropical area of china, the evergreen broadleaved forest is of great importance in environmental protection, maintenance the global carbon cycling and human sustainable development. This study has focused on the six natural forest(Castanopsis fabric,Cinnamomum chekiangense,Castanopsis carlesii,Altingia gracilipes,Tsoongiodendron odorum and Cinnamomun micranthum) in Jian'ou of Fujian Province, which are the constructive species of evergreen broadleaved in mid-subtropics of south China.Soil organic carbon storage and related characteristics and seasonal variation of dissolved organic carbon and microbial biomass carbon in soil profile are estimated for six natural forests by combing the laboratory experiment and forest inventories methods.Meanwhile, the relationship between soil organic carbon and two active organic carbon are measured by long-term observations in field so as to determine the difference and connection of soil organic carbon and active organic carbon in different natural forest. This study can provide available data for understanding the carbon balance of evergreen broadleaved forest in mid-subtropics.It can also provide scientific reference for protecting natural forests and mitigating regional climate change.
