Studies On Gibberellins Increasing Flue-cured Tobacco Seed Vigor

The gibberellin is a kind of important hormone in the plant growth, playing an important role, it can break the seed's dormancy, promote gene expression, promote to synthesize the hydrolytic enzyme in plant, and repair the destructive cell membrane, thus it can enhance the seed vigor, promote the seed germination.Tobacco is an important economic crop in our country, in recent years our country flue-cured tobacco cultivated area and gross product rank first in the world, develop the high grade tobacco leaf disregarding being to be very important to the tobacco grower or to cigarette industry. The high quality flue-cured tobacco seed is the tobacco leaf production important foundation, Only high-quality varieties and vitality of the seeds, we can provide a guarantee to gaining the high grade tobacco leaf. This experiment analyzed the tobacco seeds, placed the seeds to dry under 36℃conditions, then put them in the incubator to germinate, we studied the influence by the gibberellin treat on the germinability, the germinating capacity, the physiological-biochemical characteristic, the electrical conductivity, the tobacco seedlings dry weight and wet weight and so on. The results indicated that, seed soaking by the gibberellin, the index of the seed germinating and the seedling vigor increased , the seed's reducing force strengthened by TTC method, the electric conductivity of the seeds leaching liquor reduced, the activity of the seedling dehydrogenase and theperoxide enzyme enhanced, stem length growed, the accumulation of dry matter increased, the seed vigor is remarkably higher than the contrast, in each treat, the best density is 300-500mg/L.
