Abstract/Summary:
The thesis did some researches on the Characteristics of reproductive biology of wildHerba Houttuyniae(Herba Houttyniae) in Huaihua and Liuyang District of Hunan province,which includes the feature of floral organ, differentiation of flower bud, the growth ofpollen, pollen vitality, macrosporogenesis, growth of female gametophyte and so on, andstudied the mechanism of seeds abortion. The main results of research are brieflyintroduced as follows:(1)Herba Houttuyniae is hermaphrodite flower, cruciform corolla; It has 3 stamenswhich grow on germen, the lower part of filament and germen are gamogenic; the stamenwhich locates on the upper part of germen is made up of 3 lower part gamogenic carpels.Anther is slit. According to the growing sequence and features of Herba Houttuyniae, wecan divide the process of flower bud into 8 phrases; they are vegetative growth cone period,growth cone elongation period, primordium of floweret formation period, differentiationperiod of leaves, stamen formation period, carpel formation period, connectivedifferentiation period and quadrant formation period.(2)All the pollens of Herba Houttuyniae are spheroidicity or flat ellipsoid, every onehas 1 to 3 germinal apertures, and about 10% to 20% of pollens have the tricolporate.(3)According to I2-IK solution method and pollen sprouting test, it has beendiscovered that the vitality of the Herba Houttuyniae's pollens was so low, and after themononuclear period, the vitality of pollen was tending to zero. Namely, HerbaHouttuyniae's pollens occur abortion.(4)Herba Houttuyniae has 3 stamens which were growing around the germen; inaddition, it also has 3 carpels, adnation. Parietal placenta, orthotropous ovule, dual layersintegument, the micropyle is linear type, and from outside to inside was made up ofintegument. Gastrula gradually grows to aconogonon-type. When the Herba Houttuyniaegrown to 8 nucleus period, it stops to grow, and no impregnation and proembryo have beendiscovered; in the gastrula growing stage, it seems that antipodal cells were degenerateahead.(5)Male sterility was the inherent reason which leads to the seeds of Herba Houttuyniae abortion directly. Because of the abnormity of microspore which leads topollen abortion, the immature pollens don't possess the ability to bourgeon, which resultsin the male sterility of Herba Houttuyniae. As for the pollen abortion may because of theabnormity of the tapetal layer. Nutriment resort in the tapetal cells and haven't been fed tothe metrocyte of microspore, which caused the microspore can't get nutrition and results inthe microspore abortion. The pollen abortion of Herba Houttuyniae belongs tomononuclear abortion type.
