Cotton is the main economic crop in Xinjiang, since ranked as the most important cotton-yield area at the 80's last century, the cotton planting industry had increased rapidly, as a result of this phenomenon the problem of cotton harvest had become more and more serious. The early manpower picking up could not meet the need of the cotton planting industry and the whole cotton planting mechanization. At the beginning of this century, Xinjiang had started to introduce many imported cotton pickers, some domestic companies also introduced the advanced technique of overseas or explored some self-independence models. These cotton pickers were applied in the manufacture step by step. Along with the changing of people's idea and the expending of the cotton planting area, the form of harvested by cotton picker had been identified increasingly.The picking monomers were the key components of the cotton picker. At present, the picking monomers of the cotton picker in Xinjiang are all level-ingot roller model. The picking monomers of cotton picker made in domestic company were all imported from overseas. There wasn't any company reported about manufacturing the picking monomers. So, it was meaningful to take a research on working mechanism of the picking monomers.Carried through an analysis of the level ingots based on their working principle. Identified the relation formula of the working time when ingot in the picking chamber and the necessary condition of the picking ingots hooked the cotton. Gained the mechanical equation of ingots picking the cotton and identified rotate speed and the position parameters of the level ingots.Carried through the academic analysis to the level ingots based on the methods of the mechanical knowledge and three-dimensional sculpting. Brought forward the real modeling parameter, type and distribution precept. Constructed components precept of the different level ingots and set up the three-dimensional entity model by Pro/E software. Assembled the parts according to the distribution precept and established the entity model of the components.Carried through the kinetic emulation analysis to the roller by the ADAMS software, achieved the mutual process between emulation and model modification and gained the picking speed ratio according to the actual working condition.Made a research on the level ingot based on the methods mentioned above, validated the possibility of the dummy machine model, set up a good foundation to the optimization the level ingot and roller and further improvement of the picking monomers.
