Standard Samples(Sample Photos) For Defect Grains Of Garlic

The inspection of deficient garlic was mainly based on writing descriptions standard.However, writing description are not so convenient, it usually couldn't describe thecharacters of the breakage of garlic clearly and couldn't give the inspector a visual perceive,which could mislead the inspection results by the subjective and external factors. In thispaper, we reported the collection of some typical deficient garlic samples from aroundChina and carefully classified according to the writing description from the availablestandards "The inspection rules for imported white garlic" (SN/T0876-2000), and "Garlic"(SB/T10348-2002). After confirmed by experts for these standard samples, we took photosthrough technical methods and the photos were input into computer, the deficit points ofgarlic were then modified to make them to be easier for understanding and differentiating.For those that are very difficult to be collected, for example, the germinant garlic, we gotthe standard samples by culturing in temperature controlled chamber. After all thesestandard photos were collected, we invited several experts from around China to checkup.From about more than 130 photos, 31 according to 7 rates were incorporated into the"standard sample photos of deficient garlic", which could be applied as supplementarydocument for the writing description standards of garlic product. We believe that this workwill be helpful for the inspection work of garlic product, and made our inspection standardmore easily to be understood.
