The variety of chestnut in Taijiang county was single, the rate of setting fruit of self-pollination was low .The bodies of the chestnut trees and the soil of the chestnut parks were lack of Phosphorus and Boron nourishment elements, which made the rate of the empty seededness be high ,the female flowers be fewer and mainly caused yield low. According to the reasons, by disposing the pollinated-variety, applying fertilizer, using different management methods and thinning male flowers, to change the situation of low yield. The results of the experiment showed that disposing the pollinated- variety could increase the rate of setting fruits, lower the rate of the empty seededness and increase the yield. Under the situation of applying fertilizer and the Boron, the rate of the empty seededness of self-pollination was above 60%, the single tree yield of self-pollination was below 1kg, while the yield of which was disposed pollinated-variety was averagely above 2 kg. The empty seededness caused by self-pollination of chestnut made the yield lower. Applying Phosphorus fertilizer could urge the growth of fruit bearing shoot and pislillate per fruit branch divided, lowering the rate of the empty seededness, increasing the grain weight, improving the yield. With the increment of applying Phosphorus fertilizer, the yield got improvement. With the period of applying the Phosphorus fertilizer in advance, the yield got increment. The yield positive related with the amount and the period of applying Phosphorus fertilizer. Applying Boron fertilizer could lower the rate of the empty seededness. In the circumstance of disposing pollinated-variety. Lacking of Boron fertilizer in the soil caused empty seededness. The tow applying ways both had effects to lower the rate of the empty seededness. Applying the Boron fertilizer on leaves had more effects than applying in the soil. The most suitable density of the Boron applied on the leaves was 0.2%, and the best period which was early May. The most suitable amount of the Boron applied in the soil was 15-20g, and best period of which was February. The Phosphorus mixed with Boron fertilizer effect each other, and could markedly lower the rate of the empty seededness , increasing yield. Turning over the chestnut park soil deeply could reform soil construction, benefit the growth of the root, increase the number of the root, improve the absorption ability of the root, and increase the yield. Increasing the organism fertilizer in the chestnut park soil could lower the rate of the empty seededness, increasing yield. The miscellaneous grass covering on the chestnut park soil could increase the amount of water, benefit the growth of the roots, increase the number of the roots, improve the absorption ability of the roots for the soil nutrition, and increase the yield. In the same circumstance of applying fertilizer, the stub covered with miscellaneous grass increased yield more 0.6 kg than the one without any covering. Thinning the male flowers by persons and thinning the male flowers by chemistry could increase the number of the female flowers on the set fruit brunch. Thinning the male flowers by persons could increase 1.16 female flowers on per branch comparing with ck, and the yield increased nearly 2 Kg. Thinning the male flowers by persons had more effect than thinning the male flowers by chemistry. The comprehensive technology could lower the empty seededness of the chestnut and increased yield significant. By 3 years continuous experiments and statistics, the rate of empty seededness descended 67.6 %, the female flowers of set fruit bearing shoot increased 1.16 on per fruit branch, and per stub yield increases 3.5 kg. The experiment result showed the low yield reforming technology used for the chestnut cultivation in Taijiang County could markedly increase the yield of the chestnut, also could increase economic benefit in cultivation, so it has a very large employing and popularizing value.
