Violet flower Lucerne is the basic species of cultivation grass in the regions of northwest.It is regarded as the "king grass".The researches for species of Violet flower Lucerne and its cultivation technology are relatively lagging.Therefore,the methods of field experiment and analysis are adopted to study the species introduction and filtration,the number of fertilizer and the density of plant.The follows are the results.1.Research about species filtrate and compare has been done by introducing 38 species of Violet flower Lucerne.The species with good nutrient quality,high yield,the better drought resistance and cold resistance are filtrated from them.In addition,they must fit to be planted in Jiuquan and Hexi.Four species have been filtrated,such as,Giant 201,Pangduo, WL232HQ and Muge401.Their grass yields are respectively higher 21.29%,19.04%, 19.17%and 14.68%than CK.They can reach striking level comparing with CK through analysis of variance.2.Six different density field tests about the number of seed from 100,000/666.7m2 to 600,000/666.7m2 have been made.The most grass yield is in the field of the amount of seed in 400,000/666.7m2.The second one is in the field of the amount of seed in 600,000/666.7m2, when it was converted into dry grass of 1436.75 kg/666.7m2.It can be seen that the grass yield difference of four different densities of 30,40,50 and 60 couldn't reach the striking level.In the test,with the increase of density,the flower stage is delayed,the drought resistance is weaken,the return of green is advanced,crude protein is declined and the height of plants present the tendency of growing.3.The proportion of nitrogenous fertilizer and P2O5 is 1/3 in the fertilizer quota.P2O5 is allocated in six handles,the amounts of which is increased respectively from 1 kg/666.7m2 to 16 kg/666.7m2.Comprehensive analysis indicates that the grass yield of Violet flower Lucerne indicate increasing with the increasing of fertilizer.By analysis of variance,the six treatments indicate marked level compared with those of no-fertilizer.The effect in the three treatments with 1 kg/666.7m2,7 kg/666.7m2 and 13 kg/666.7m2 is notable.While,the effect is not striking in the other three handles with 10 kg/666.7m2,13 kg/666.7m2 and 16 kg/666.7m2.The conclusion can be made that the amounts of P2O5 between 8 kg/666.7m2 and 10 kg/666.7m2 and that of N between 2.5 kg/666.7m2 and 3 kg/666.7m2 are more suitable in Violet flower Lucerne under the condition of soil quality in JiuQuan.4.The species with high yield and high quality are plant in five provinces and twenty one villages and towns,such as,Giant 201,Pangduo,WL232HQ and Muge 401.The area is 1200hm2.The area with the technology of high yield and cultivation is 2600hm2.The result of investigation in the area of 1680hm2 of twenty one villages and towns indicate that the new species increase yield 6.2 t/hm2 than locality species in average level,and it can increase pure benefit about 550 yuan/hm2.The new species and technology can increase benefit about 2.417 million yuan in the area of 3800hm2,and it has got a good social and ecology benefit.5."Regulations about Technology of High Yield Cultivation of Violet Flower Lucerne" has been drawn up based on the results of experiments and the lessons of peasants.
