Engineering-oriented afforestation is a scientific method. The process of afforestation need be organized by the engineering. Engineering-oriented afforestation is one of the important method improving Beijing's environment.Forest resources Management of Beijing laid a strong emphasis on the transformation from afforestation to forest management, to monitoring the change of forest resources and to accelerate the transformation, the study is needed.The traditional study only inclined to the lone study on the some one project, so how to satisfy both needs of Beijing's afforestation management and Management System of Beijing's Monitoring Forest Resources is the study's goal. The study analyzed international and internal afforestation status. Depending on the interrelated code and criterion, the system is developed based on GIS through building spatial database and accomplishing function of assisting afforestation management. The study is beneficial to Beijing's afforestation management.
