The growth situation and drought resistance of Jatropha curcas L, Dalbergia odorifera T Chen, Dodonaea viscose L, V.negun var.cannabifolia Hand.Mazz, Glycosmis citrifolia Willd.Lindl, Melia azedarach, Cajanus cajan L.Millsp, Tephrosia candida, Crotalaria pallida Ait, L.sinense Lour, Cassia alata Linn, Desmodium tortuosum Sw, Paspalum notatum Flugge, Cynodon dactylon L.pers, Panicum maximum Jacq, Rhynchelytrum repens, Panicum repens, Pennisetum alopecuroides L. Spreng of 18 plants of Guangdong were studied in field experiment. And those plants were used to collapse mound hill slope. The result showed that:1.The observation of plant height and ground diameter of 18 plants showed that the correlation index of those plants was more than 0.95, beside Dalbergia odorifera T Chen, V.negun var.cannabifolia Hand.Mazz, Glycosmis citrifolia Willd.Lindl and L.sinense Lour, fitting results of growth curves were good, which showed that the best days of water and fertilizer management was 170d-328d to provide a theoretical basis for future planting and management.2.The results of drought resistance showed that the drought resistance of Jatropha curcas L and Dalbergia odorifera T Chen was stronger than Dodonaea viscose L which commen use on the hill; The drought resistance of Desmodium tortuosum Sw and L.sinense Lour was stronger than Cajanus cajan L.Millsp, Tephrosia candida and Crotalaria pallida Ait, The drought resistance of Pennisetum alopecuroides L. Spreng and Rhynchelytrum repens stronger than Paspalum notatum Flugge and Cynodon dactylon L.pers that often using as the slope common. The comprehensive evaluation of drought resistance of 18 plants by subordinate function and expert evaluation method show that, the drought resistance of 3 kinds of plants in order of Jatropha curcas L>Dalbergia odorifera T Chen>Dodonaea viscose L>V.negun var.cannabifolia Hand.Mazz> Glycosmis citrifolia Willd.Lindl> Melia azedarach; Desmodium tortuosum Sw>L.sinense Lour> Cajanus cajan L.Millsp>Tephrosia candida> Crotalaria pallida Ait> Cassia alata Linn; Pennisetum alopecuroides L. Spreng> Rhynchelytrum repens> Paspalum notatum Flugge> Panicum maximum Jacq> Panicum repens> Cynodon dactylon L.pers.3.The observation of plants in the slope being prone to landslides showed that Jatropha curcas L, Dalbergia odorifera T Chen, Desmodium tortuosum Sw, Pennisetum alopecuroides L. Spreng and Rhynchelytrum repens had better performance than Dodonaea viscose L, Cajanus cajan L.Millsp, Tephrosia candida, Crotalaria pallida Ait, Paspalum notatum Flugge and Cynodon dactylon L.pers.According to the the growth performance of subordinate function square of weighted income value of plants in the slope, the growth effect of which was in order of Jatropha curcas L>Dalbergia odorifera T Chen>Dodonaea viscose L> Melia azedarach> V.negun var.cannabifolia Hand.Mazz> Glycosmis citrifolia Willd.Lindl; Desmodium tortuosum Sw > Cajanus cajan L.Millsp> Tephrosia candida> L.sinense Lour> Cassia alata Linn> Crotalaria pallida Ait; Pennisetum alopecuroides L. Spreng> Paspalum notatum Flugge> Rhynchelytrum repens> Panicum maximum Jacq> Panicum repens> Cynodon dactylon L.pers. That provided the basis for the election of plants protecting the mountain .From the above, the traits on the growth, drought resistence and slope effect of Jatropha curcas L, Desmodium tortuosum Sw, Pennisetum alopecuroides L. Spreng and Rhynchelytrum repens of 18 palnts superior to the same kind of common plant in domestic of Dodonaea viscose L, Cajanus cajan L.Millsp, Tephrosia candida, Crotalaria pallida Ait, Paspalum notatum Flugge and Cynodon dactylon L.pers, Jatropha curcas L, Desmodium tortuosum Sw, Pennisetum alopecuroides L. Spreng and Rhynchelytrum repens had higher growth index and drought resistance, which can be used as protecting the mountain, while Glycosmis citrifolia Willd.Lindl, Cassia alata Linn and Cynodon dactylon L.pers is not appropriate for mountain slope in the Guangdong.
