The micro-combine harvester of wheat is suitable for working in the mountainous , hilly areas and small fields. It is developed by Henan University of Science and Technology. The cyclone separating of this machine has features of simple structure, small volume, light weight, reliable operation and configuration of convenient. It is bright prospect that the machine is used as a cleaner with micro-mechanical devices of wheat harvest. However, the rotational speed of the winnower which is too high ,leads to the machine loss more power. At the same time, some straw remains when light materials are too excessively in the cyclone separator, which causes the machine not working normally. In order to solve these problems, Three-hole probe is used to study the folw motion status of the winnower pipe and cyclone separator, and the pipe flow affected by the size of the entrance to winnower is also encluded in the project. In the meanwhile, we use high-speed camera to photo the motion status of materials inside cyclone and winnower pipe. The results show that the size of the entrance to winnower has great impacts on the pipe flow. What can be found from the survey is that: the tangential velocity of flow inside cyclone reduce gradually from edge to center of the cyclone, while the axial velocity is just contrary; the static pressure near the axis of the cyclone is the lowest. The motion status inside the cyclone recorded by the high speed camera conforms to the flow measurement.
