Abstract/Summary:
To further optimize the mass breeding technique of genetic sexing strain of oriental fruit fly Bactrocera dorsalis (Hendel), grasp male sterile technique of the oriental fruit fly, quality factor influence on genetic sexing strain of oriental fruit fly and the biological characteristics of the genetic sexing strain were studied in the paper, the results showed that:1) At 190C, 220C, 25 0C, 280C and 310C respectively reared genetic sexing strain of B. dorsalis, and recorded the obtained rate of eggs to pupa, pupal weight, adult emergence rate, survival rate and flight rate. Results showed that the highest obtain rate of eggs to pupa was 62.12% at 280C, the lowest was 43.12% at 190C. The heaviest pupal weight was 1.3854 g / 100 and lightest was 1.2610 g / 100. The highest adult emergence rate was 93% at 250C and the minimum was 82.67% at 310C. The highest survival rate was 66% at 310C and the minimum was 4.67% at 190C. The highest flight rate was 65% at 250C and the minimum was 16% at 310C. The optimal temperature for mass rearing of genetic sexing strain B. dorsalis was 25 0C -28 0C based on above studies.2) In order to optimize the breeding techniques of genetic sexing strain of B. dorsalis(Hendel), made a preliminary study on the female insects. Research shows that female insect of genetic sexing strain of B. dorsalis for its soft edges 18d spawning peak around the life, the average life eggs hatch rates around 75%; Female of genetic sexing strain of B. dorsalis the peak of eggs for 12: 00– 14 : 00, the second peak time for 10 : 00– 12 : 00.3) 3d-old male pupae of genetic sexing strain of B. dorsalis were kept at different temperatures for different time separately. Adult emergence rate, survival rate and flight rate were monitored. The results showed that the different preservation temperatures and time had significant impact on these male adults. There had optimal effects at 130C-160C and preserve 10d-15d and the emergence rate were all over 80%, the survival rate were above 5% and the flight rate were more than 50%.4) The sterile males of fruit fly have more competitive gradually strengthened with release the increase of the proportion with respect to wild males, meanwhile ME to infertility males mating competitive enhanced obviously, when the number of males sterile is 4.0 times more than the wild males, mating success rate of sterile males with wild females by nearly 50%, while the sterile males feed by ME is 2.0 times more than wild males, mating success rate of sterile males with wild females by nearly 50%。the sterile males feed by ME is 8.0 times more than wild males, mating success rate of sterile males with wild females by nearly 80%.
