| Forest, the major part of earth ecosystem, plays a profoundly important role in global ecosystem, and currently, there is more public concern over their ecological value study. The function of forest ecosystem service is to provide the entire human beings with the natural environment and relevant effects in the process of forest ecosystem. forest ecosystem service offers direct and indirect ecosystem service to the human life and economic construction. With the economic globalization, population explosion and unreasonable development and utilization of land, as the largest vegetation type on earth, forest is deteriorating sharply, and biological diversity is decreasing dramatically. What's worse, forest ecosystem service is declining severely.The thesis is to analyze and assess the forest ecosystem service in Shaoyang city with the methods of Physical assessment method and value assessment method. forest ecosystem service is divided into two main groups:ecosystem production and life sustaining system function. In the light of forest ecosystem service in Shaoyang, the author attempts to establish forest ecosystem service appraisal target system local system(two of A, six of B, fourteen of C). Finally carrieson the appraisal from the value quantity.The results show that the total annual integrated forest ecosystem service value of Shaoyang city reaches to 52.96×108 yuan/a, which is 16.08% GDP of Shaoyang city in 2005. According to the value composition comparison, the direct and indirect value of forest ecosystem service in Shaoyang, respectively, are 8.55×108 yuan/a and 44.41 X 108yuan/a, and the indirect value is as much as five times of the direct, which is indicative of more striking contribution from forest ecosystem service than from plain timber production Among the diverse contribution of forest ecosystem service, timber production is 8.55×108 yuan/a, the water preservation is 5.44X 108 yuan/a, the soil conservation is 7.65×108 yuan/a, the nutritient returns is 2.48×108 yuan/a, the air purification is 6.43×108 yuan/a, the carbon fixation and oxygen release is 22.41×10 yuan/a. The value sequence of forest ecosystem service is:carbon fixation and oxygen release>timber production>soil conservation>air purification>water preservation>the nutritient returns. The carbon fixation and oxygen release is the highest in forest ecosystem service, which account for the tatal value 42.32%, while nutrition circulation and preservation is the lowest. In Shaoyang, forest ecosystem service value per hectare is 4204 yuan/a, and forest ecosystem service value per person is 712 yuan/a.For our limited knowledge about the forest ecosystem service and defects in calculation methods and lack of tangible measured data, the results reported here may be less than the real value of forest ecosystem service in Shaoyang city, which need more further researches. |
