| It is required of forestry informatization that we integrally collect forest resources information and avoid duplicating collection, in order to realize "once collecting, and re-usable". In the practice, however, the level of utilization was low, so the resources of society were wasted greatly. The information resources could not share laterally and coalesce longitudinally, and the information isolated islands were formed. There was an important theoretical and practical significance in researching forest resources information sources and the mechanism of collecting forest resources information, which could raise the level of comprehensive application and effective utilization of forest resources information, for saving manpower, material resources and financial resources.This paper analyzed and studied the characteristic feature of fifteen forest resources information sources which were typical and universal in domestic, and classified forest resources information. This paper analyzed also information volume with information theory and researched information intersection. On this basis, the mechanism of collecting forest resources information was established.The research contents and main results were as follows:(1) With referring to correlative literature and participating in forest resources planning and design inventory, the relatively representative forest resources information sources at home were studied. They were respectively national forest resources continuous inventory, forest resources planning and design inventory, forest pests and rat disasters inventory, forest fires inventory, wild animals and wild plants inventory, forestation projects check, annual cutting quota implementation check, expropriation and occupation of forestland check, public welfare forest inventory, key forestry projects monitoring, ancient famous and precious trees inventory, wetland resources monitoring, forest eco located monitoring, land desertification monitoring and forest science research project. The purpose and tasks, the collecting method, the collecting objects, the supervisor organization, the collecting cycle and the collecting scope of every information sources were researched and analyzed.(2) On the basis of a comprehensive summarizing and reviewing of existing results, according to the principal and method of information classification, forest resources information was classified as nine fundamental information categories. They were respectively geography and soil information category, tree resources information category, forest ecological function information category, forest disasters information category, wetland resources information category, wild animals and wild plants information category, land desertification information category, forest management information category. This paper determined the information sources to which each information category belong.(3) The account of information category in each information sources, namely the probability of the information category appeared, were calculated statistically, which could calculate information volume in each information sources. The ranking of forest resources information sources was:Φ1>Φ2>Φ3>Φ4>Φ5>Φ6>Φ7>Φ8>Φ9>Φ10>Φ11>Φ12>Φ13>Φ14The amount of information that forest resources planning and design inventory contained was the largest, which was 1.670, while the amount of information that forest pests and rat disasters inventory contained was 1.642. In the system of forestry informatization collectiong, these two information sources were the most comprehensive and integral of all, and they had consummate developments and comprehensive techniques,as forestry basic investigations. The other information sources, which were mainly emphasize gathering a certain type of forest resources, were pertinency. This provided evidence for quantifying information content in forest resources information sources and establishing the mechanism of forest resources information collecting.(4)The information intersection of information sources research discovered that the information intersection was exiszting. Especially between forest pests and rat disasters inventory and the other information sources(5) The mechanism of forest resources information collecting was established. The mechanism was subdivided into mechanism of decision-making, mechanism of operating, mechanism of information processing and analyzing, mechanism of information management and service. Each sub-mechanism was running by step and also was cyclic.(6) Recently, the forest resources inventory in home has been developing rapidly, the forest resources information sources researched was not covering all information sources, as a result, it is necessary to analyze deeply other forest resources information sources. |
