The repellent action, contact action and fumigation action of 18 extracts (absolute ethyl alcohol, absolute ethyl ether) from 9 kind plants to Sitophilus zeamais, Rhyzopertha dominica and Tenebroides mauritanicus were studied in this paper.Petroleum aether extract of Allium sativum L , petroleum ethanol extract of Zanthoxylum bungeanum had obvious repellent action to Sitophilus zeamais,Rhyzopertha dominica and Tenebroides mauritanicus. After 60h treatment by 1.26mg/cm2, the repellent rate were all up to classâ…£; Petroleum aether extract of Allium sativum L, petroleum ethanol extract of Capsicum annuum Linn and Petroleum aether extract of Zanthoxylum bungeanum had obvious contact action to Sitophilus zeamais and Rhyzopertha dominica. After 76h treatment by 1.26mg/cm2, the average corrected mortality were 94.21%,85.64%,91.37%,89.62%,85.73%,89.62% respectively. Petroleum aether extract of Allium sativum L , petroleum ethanol extract of Brassica nigra , petroleum ethanol extract of Zanthoxylum bungeanum had obvious fumigation action to Sitophilus zeamais and Rhyzopertha dominica. After 76h treatment by 80ppm , the corrected mortality were 100%,90.81%,89.23%,93.58%,98.36%,90.59% respectively.A further study about the fumigation action of horseradish essential oil and mustard oil to Sitophilus zeamais and Rhyzopertha dominica was did in chapter2.The results showed that both of the two oil had significant fumigation action. They both could kill most of the tested pests with low-dose in a short time. After 72h treatment by horseradish essential oil of 2ppm, the corrected mortality of Sitophilus zeamais and Rhyzopertha dominica could reach 100%. In the same condition, mustard oil could reach about 90%. After 76h treatment, the probability mortality regression lines and LC50 of horseradish essential oil to Sitophilus zeamais and Rhyzopertha dominica were 1.8724+2.1573x, 0.1226; 2.1881+2.1573x, 0.0968 respectively, the probability mortality regression lines and LC50 of mustard oil were 0.2931+2.1570x, 0.7313; 0.1198+2.1764x, 0.8810respectively. In the same condition, horseradish essential oil had better fumigation action than mustard oil.The study on horseradish essential oil's fumigation effect of stored grain insects in closed drier showed that Horseradish Essential Oil has significant fumigation effect on pests of stored grain in natural conditions. With low-dose Horseradish Essential Oil (3 ppm) fumigating 72 h, could kill all the Sitophilus zeamais and Rhyzopertha dominica which were on the surface of corn, wheat and rice ; with Horseradish Essential Oil (24 ppm) fumigating 72 h, the corrected mortality of Sitophilus zeamais which were under the corn, wheat and rice could reach to 100%,100%,98% while the corrected mortality of Rhyzopertha dominica could reach to100%,93% and 86%. The temperature had no significant affect on the effect of Horseradish Essential Oil fumigating. The different types of stored grain had a significant influence on the effect of Horseradish Essential Oil fumigating. The fumigation results in the three types were as follows: corn > wheat> rice.
