In this experiment, we study on the cold-resistance of warm-season turfgrasses which are Changsha locoal Cynodon dactylon,Qingdao Zoysia sinica,Changsha locoal Eremochloa ophiuroides,Paspalum notatum。We studied the change of activities of SOD Pro and POD, contents of MDA, electrolyte leakage from November in 2006 to February in 2007 under natural cooling process and withered days of every centipedegrass accession。Moreover, the four of warm-season turfgrasses accessions were cultivated in pot and were used in cold hardening。The results show that:1,In the area of Changsha Hunan, the four warm-season turfgrasses in the annual December began to turn yellow, in March of the second year began to turn green。The shortest period of Zoysia sinica turning withered is 33 days, the longest period of Cynodon dactylon is 73 days, the period of Cynodon dactylon is 42 days, the period of Paspalum notatum 57 days。2,According to the theory that under the higher Electrolyte membrane permeability, the more chilling are the turfgrasses。Among the four warm-season turfgrasses, Zoysia sinica has the strongest cold-resistance。Electrolyte membrane permeability followed by is Zoysia sinica 66.23%, Cynodon dactylon 78.77%, Paspalum notatum 86.8%,, Eremochloa ophiuroides 97%。3,The increasing rate of Superoxide dismutase activity is the greater, the stronger is the cold-resistance capacity of turfgrass。The cold-resistance capacity of the four warm-season turfgrasses followed by Zoysia sinica>Cynodon dactylon>Paspalum notatum>Cynodon dactylon。Jnder the low temperature Eremochloa ophiuroides(0.95 mmol.gFw-1)and Cynodon dactylon(1.027mmol.gFw-1)have the highest SOD activity。4,Under low temperature conditions, soluble sugar in the leaves can be improved to increase the concentration of plant cells, the accumulation of sugar for the performance increase。Experiments show that:Eremochloa ophiuroides has the weakest cold-resistance, Zoysia sinica has the strongest one。Soluble sugar content levels are: Zoysia sinica 47.5%, Cynodon dactylon 42.85%, Paspalum notatum 36.27%, Eremochloa ophiuroides 28.79%。5,According to the theory whenever and however is the proline content peak, the cold-resistance of the turfgrasses can be reflected。The extreme proline conten peak of the four warm-season turfgrasses is discovered per 12 hours under low temperature, which are Zoysia sinica 2.49mg/g, Cynodon dactylon 3.4mg/g, Paspalum notatum1.96 mg/g, Eremochloa ophiuroides 4.48 mg/g。The cold-resistance level followed by Zoysia sinica>Cynodon dactylon>Paspalum notatum>Eremochloa ophiuroides。6,The electrolyte membrane permeability, MDA, soluble sugar content, the activity of SOD, PRO activity decreases with increasing temperature。SOD activity, POD activity and the content of MDA can be the indicators of the cold-resistance。7,The period of proline content peak is related with the strength of the cold-resistance。In the field experiment, Zoysia sinica has the highest proline content。The pot experiment, Cynodon dactylon has the highest one。The indicators of measuring the cold-resistance will be further studied。8,Adopt the paraffin section technology to follow the anatomy being in progress to four warm-season turf grass studying, by the observation to whose blade anatomy structure, and to the mensurate and analysis of variance with being able to cold resistance。9,Abase on the observation in the field experiment, the analysis of various physiological indicators and leaf anatomy of the draw:four warm-season turfgrasses in different temperature stress for the sort of cold hardiness indicators:Zoysia sinica> Cynodon dactylon>Paspalum notatum>Eremochloa ophiuroides。...
