The water status,the chlorophyll content,osmotic adjust ment substance.etc were studied under different content of soil water by artificiall y controlling water in pot. The drought resistance abilities of four warm-season tu rfgrasses were evaluated through carrying out the subordinate function and gray c orrelative analysis according to the date acquired. The results indicate:1,Under drought stress, the leaves of four warm-season turfgrasses withered and have been dead. And the first showing yellow and death was Eremochloa ophiuroides, which also showed the more serious injured degree. Cynodon dactylon had the minimal injury, the next were Zoysia sinica Hance and Paspalum notatum.2,Under drought stress, the soil water content of four warm-season turfgrasses were gradually decreasing. Compared with the check (CK) which irrigated normally, the soil water content of the 25th day of four warm-season turfgrasses decreased 14.6%-16.7%, the changes of decrease were not significantly different.3,Under drought stress, the water-holding capacity of separated leaves and The relative water content(RWC) showed the trend of decrease. The range of decrease of chl content was:Cynodon dactylon>Zoysia sinica Hance>Paspalum notatum >Eremochloa ophiuroides.5,Under drought stress, the osmotic adjustment substance changed obviously, the content of pro and solube carbohyarate increased significantly. Compared with the CK, the accumulation of the pro was:Eremochloa ophiuroides(1174.05%)>Zo ysia sinica Hance (1139.64%)>Cynodon dactylon(866.49%)>Paspalum notatum(692. 33%); the range of increase of solube carbohyarate content was:Paspalum notatu m>Eremochloa ophiuroides>Zoysia sinica Hance>Cynodon dactylon.6,Under drought stress, relative electricity conductivity of four warm-season turfgrass increased differently. It was significant negative correlation with drought resistance, and the range of change was:Cynodon dactylon>Zoysia sinica Hance >Paspalum notatum>Eremochloa ophiuroides.7,Under drought stress, the content of MDA increase constantly. On the firs t 15 days, the range of increase was small, and following the accumulation speed was accelerating. The arrange of MDA content from lower to higher was:Cynod on dactylon(61.935 nmol/g), Zoysia sinica Hance (76.559 nmol/g), Eremochloa op hiuroides(80 nmol/g), Paspalum notatum(84.301nmol/g).8,Under drought stress, the changes of SOD activity had a trend of first increase and then decrease. Eremochloa ophiuroides,Cynodondactylon and Zoysia sinica Hance reached the maximum on the 15th day, the were 332.043 U/gFWmin,439.676 U/gFWmin, 371.230 U/gFWmin; Paspalum notatum reached the maximum on the 20th day, it was 397.782 U/gFWmin.9,According to the dates of the research, comprehensive evaluation of drought resistance of four warm-season turfgrasses was analysied through the subordinate function.
