The effect of N, P and K on the growth, yield, carbon and nitrogen metabolism of Anemone flaccida Fr.Schmidt were researched by the field experiment for three years. Meanwhile, the relationship between the nutrient uptake and accumulation of medicinal ingredients was considered. The purpose of the study is to provided a theoretical reference and key technology for large-scale cultivation of the plant. The main results were as follows:(1)The height of the plant became much higher with the broadening of the leaves from 2007 to 2009.N could accelerate the growth of the plant and increase the biomass of the rhizome of Anemone flaccida Fr. Schmidt obviously. The growth under NPK fertilizer was the best in all treatments.Yield of the rhizome of Anemone flaccida Fr.Schmidt increased from 2007 to 2009.(2) The contents of soluble sugar and soluble protein in the third year after growing were higher than those in the second year. The contents of soluble sugar and protein in the last growth stage were higher than those in vigorous growth period in the root of the plant. However, the contents of soluble sugar and protein in the last growth stage were lower than those in the vigorous growth period in the shoot of the plant. Soluble sugar and soluble protein contents under N applied treatment were higher than those under non-applied N treatment.(3) The contents of total nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium in Anemone flaccida Fr. Schmidt shoot were higher than those in root. The content of total nitrogen of shoot increased from the growth stage to flowering stage, and then decreased in in the last growth stage. However, in the root, the total nitrogen content decreased in the whole growth period. The phosphorus content decreased in the whole growth period while the content in root gradually reduced from the beginning of flowering. The potassium content in shoot decreased sharply, and the lowest content appeared in the last growth stage. The content of potassium in rhizome was steady. The accumulation of the macroelement in Anemone flaccida Fr.Schmidt in the whole growth stage was as follows:N>K>P.(4) The type of chemical components of Anemone flaccida Fr.Schmidt were not changed under different fertilizer treatments by comparing the figureprints of IR, UV.(5) The content of total saponine increased gradually with the growth year by year. In the whole growth period of the same year, the content of total saponine in the last growth stage was higher than that in the vigorous growth period, and the content was significantly higher under N deficiency than that under P, K deficiences in the last growth stage. Total saponine content under the condition of Chemical fertilizer was higher than the wild.(6) The content of oleanolic acid in the last growth stage was higher than that in the vigorous growth stage. Oleanolic acid content in PK fertilizer was higher than NP, NK and NPK fertilizer respectively.
