Investigation On The Cognition Of ICU Nurses At County Level Hospital To Rescue The Early Recovery Of Sepsis Campaign

Objective To investigate the current cognitive situation in primary hospital of ICU nurses on sepsis treatment guideline for improving the cooperation between nurses and doctors and decrease the fatality rate of sepsis patients.Methods To design a questionnaire, taking the 2012 edition of "guide to salvation" sepsis campaign early recovery as the basis, contents involves the related nursing guide knowledge. And the study included 210 ICU nurses who were investigated.Results The awareness rate of ICU nurses to Surviving Sepsis Campaign is 49.52%, the awareness rate of related knowledge in 4 dimensions was less than 60%, the understanding degree of 70.48 % ICU nurses was in medium level,the Mastering degree to Surviving Sepsis Campaign of ICU nurses was significantly associated with nurse grade, work seniority, age and professional title.There was significantly difference between Surgery ICU nurses and medical ICU nurses in the mastering of the Surviving Sepsis Campaign.Conclusions It is important for ICU nursing managers to strengthen the training of nurses,which could promote the nurses to learn the Surviving Sepsis Campaign and to improve their mastering degree about the guideline.The ICU nurses will participate in the treatment and nursing of sepsis patients initiatively by strengthening the knowledge.The favorable cognition of ICU nurses can provide the basis for integrated health service, and canimprove nurses’ capacity of early discernment to sepsis, then can provide the valid data about the sepsis patients to doctors. These are helpful to improving prognosis and to decreasing fatality rate of sepsis patients.
