Purpose: The modern people is very busy at work, who seldom has full time to do exercise. Assuming people use those trivial time to do exercise, make the total daily moderate‐intensity exercise time to reach a total of more than 30 mins to see whether such a movement can produce good effects, It will have important application value and reality significance if it has the good effects. Therefore, This paper attempts to carry out a preliminary discussion of the effects of the movement pattern by study different intermittent training for memory capabilities of SD rat through to design rat model of treadmill with the total amount of exercise at different intermittent, and do research for hippocampal gene BDNF, Trk B, MEK, ERK study to investigate the possible mechanisms that exercise impact the learning and memory abilities of rats. Methods: Choose 24 healthy male Sprague ‐ Dawley(SD) rats with 8 weeks old, divided those rats into three groups with eight in each, quiet control group(group C), short interval group(group S) and long intermittent group(group L). The group C with normal breeding, group S and L proceed treadmill training for 6 weeks with 6 days a week, 2 groups in each day(group S rest 5 mins between the training, group L rest 40 mins between the training), each training group with the time of 15 mins, the speed of 24 m/min, the slope is zero. After the treadmill training, all rats take another 4 days Morris water maze navigation experiment and 1 day space exploration experiment, testing different treadmill exercise influence on cognitive function of rats, Fasting for solids and liquids 24 hours after Morris water maze test, then take abdominal anesthesia with 3.6% chloral hydrate(1 ml / 100 g), take out the complete hippocampus, then use the QT ‐ PCR technique to detect the m RNA expression of rat hippocampus gene BDNF, TrkB, MEK, ERK.Conclusion:(1) 6 weeks continuous medium intensity treadmill exercise can improve the learning and memory ability of SD rats, long interval training can also improve the ability of learning and memory. Hint: To use the little time for physical exercise also can achieve similar to continue training exercise effect, it even has more advantages in some measure.(2) The treadmill training result in an increase in SD rats learning and memory ability related with the increased quantity of rat hippocampal gene m RNA expression of BDNF, MEK1 and ERK2.(3) 6 weeks treadmill training improved the ability of learning and memory in rats may associate with BDNF ‐ Trk B ‐ MEK ‐ ERK signaling pathway.
