The beating of the heart is the body’s normal physiological activities.It provides the blood supply of the body and maintain the body’s normal life activities. Western Medicine think that the frequency and(or) rhythm abnormalities of heartbeat is called arrhythmias. TCM called it palpitations. It refers to the patients feel heart throbbing consciously, vigilant anxiety, and even can not be controlled. Palpitations is one of the most common clinical symptoms, which often induced by fear,anger,fatigue and other facters.The disease is located in the heart and is closely related to liver,spleen,lungs, kidneys, etc. It can stand alone or be exist with severe cardiovascular disease at the same time. A variety of stress factors in today’s society results in the incidence of palpitations showd an increasing trend.My mentor is Yu Rui professor,she according to the years of clinical experience, solid medical theory, the extensive research of ancient books, combined with modern clinical characteristics of palpitations to propose that palpitations can be treated from liver. She did a systematic and in-depth analysis of palpitations.Professor Yu think that the pathogenesis is the malfunction of catharsis liver and liver storing blood. she proposed five methods to treat this disease.The first:relieving-Qi-Stagnancy,Liqi-Ning heart- modus. The second:smoothing the liver and promoting blood circulation-modus.The third: relieving-Qi-Stagnancy,Purge fire- modus.The fourth: relieving-Qi-Stagnancy, tonifying spleen- modus.The fifth: nourishing blood and liver, Tranquilize mind,Ning heart- modus.she treated the clinical patient by prescription and traditional chinese medicine.It reflects the concept of the whole of TCM and the soul of seeking both temporary and permanent solutions.
