The chronic constipation is a common clinical syndrome in the world, in every minute affecting people’s life and work. And the majority of patients with constipation fall ill in course of time, with drug abusing and randomly, so that can not effectively treat constipation. But numbers of patients with constipation in Beijing, a place hospital is everywhere, lack of the knowledge of using Chinese patent drug. So it is necessary to understand the distribution of TCM Syndromes of chronic constipation in China-Japan Friendship Hospital, roughly determining the proportion of each clinical syndrome, and guiding doctor to choose Chinese patent drug while dialectic unclear. Objective:Determining the distribution of syndromes characterized by constipation patients in China-Japan Friendship Hospital, and guiding doctor to choose Chinese patent drug while dialectic unclear. Methods:According to the diagnostic criteria of functional constipation in Rome Ⅲ criteria and based on the TCM syndrome classification making by the spleen and stomach disease association of the traditional Chinese medicine and pharmacy, collecting 400 cases of outpatient in Traditional Chinese Medicine Department of Gastroenterology of China-Japan Friendship Hospital, counting the proportion of male and female patients with constipation, and calculating the proportion of each syndrome, which including the single syndrome and multiple syndromes and the frequency of each syndrome.Results:400 cases of constipation patients, male 141 cases, female 259 cases, male to female ratio is 1:1.84. The characteristics of TCM syndrome distribution is single syndromes accounted for 37.75%, the multiple syndrome accounted for 62.25%, of which two kinds of syndrome has accounted for 53.50%. In single syndrome Gastrointestinal excess heat syndrome and Qi deficiency of lung and spleen syndrome accounted for a higher proportion. The two kinds of syndromes appear most are Qi deficiency of lung and spleen syndrome combining with Gastrointestinal excess heat syndrome and Qi deficiency of lung and spleen syndrome combining with Gastrointestinal qi stagnation syndrome, respectively 58 cases and 51 cases; Gastrointestinal excess heat+Jin less blood loss syndrome is 47 cases, Gastrointestinal excess heat+ Gastrointestinal Qi stagnation syndrome is 20 cases, the rest are less than 20 cases. The three kinds of syndromes appear most are Gastrointestinal excess heat+Jin less blood loss+Gastrointestinal Qi stagnation syndrome and Gastrointestinal Qi stagnation+Jin less blood loss + Qi deficiency of lung and spleen syndrome, equally 9 cases. The four kinds appear only in 1 case. From the perspective of syndrome appearing frequency, Gastrointestinal excess heat syndrome appears frequently, a total of 212 cases, accounting for 53%; followed by is Qi deficiency of lung and spleen syndrome, a total of 195 cases, accounting for 48.75%.Conclusion:Constipation syndrome has tended to the direction of diversification, research on multiple syndrome constipation can increase the accuracy of dialectics. In the guidance of medication, trying Danggui longhui to treat Gastrointestinal excess heat syndrome, Qirong Runchang oral liquid to Jin less blood loss or Qi deficiency of lung and spleen syndrome, Anxiao Capsule to Gastrointestinal Qi stagnation syndrome.
