Literature Research And Application Of Baihu Decoction And Its Prescription In The Treatment Of Skin Diseases

1 Purpose of the Study"Shanghan Lun" (as known as Treatise on Cold Damage Disorders) is a classic medical treatise completed by Zhang Zhongjing which contains pathological theories, treatments, medical prescriptions and herbs in the field of Chinese Medicine. With Zhang Zhongjing’s approach of conducting treatment while verifying its effectiveness, he was able to relate medical theories with actual cases. Brought reliable findings based on hard evidences where in this day still been valued as foundation of many clinical practices. Thus, it’s unquestionable that medical prescription of Baihu Tang and its derivational formulae were one of the most important herbal medicines to clearing Yangming Qifen. This study would be conducted in the manner of investigating the functions of ingredients in Biahu Tang and its like-kind prescription and causes of pathogenesis. Therefore outlines the possible principles of why this prescription has been applied on treatments and base on the outcome we found to enhance its use on curing skin diseases.2 MethodsThere are mainly four parts of researches in the study:2.1 Bibliographies:Studythe documents that relate to clinical findings of Biahu Tang and its derivatives. According to the information in those papers to outline the factors should tackled, providing sufficient knowledge and ingredients for this research.2.2 Pathogenic Studies:Discuss and investigate the causal factors of diseases from varying perspectives in the concept of perpetual outlook, thus reveal medical properties and characteristics of Biahu Tang.2.3 Define the efficacy range of varied Biahu Tang prescriptions:This study analyses pathogenesis theory,casual factors,pause and treatments of main Baihu Tang and its like-kind prescriptions in a separated manner. The clauses in’Shanghan Lun’would carefully sort out and identify the interpretations behind them. With summarization of above findings,similarities of characters in medicines can be found hence reveals the regular connections between the prescriptions. More importantly, herbal decocting methods and medicine instruction should be prudently managed to avoid any possible contraindication. This can elevate the efficacy of Biahu Tang to the greater extend.2.4 Discuss the utilization of Biahu Tang in skin diseases:Through analysis of related documents and articles to investigate the use of Biahu Tang on common skin diseases. Further,combine personal experience with clinical practices which allows the prescriptions to expand their functions in the area of skin diseases.3 ConclusionThrough the researches above, we can conclude that:Baihu Tang not only works as medicine for symptoms of hyperpyrexia, it also been valued as the fundamental prescriptions to treat clinical skin diseases. We should dig into the functions of Baihu Tang and its like-kind prescriptions bringing better use of medicines in the field of curing skin diseases.
