Objective:To explore the Xuebijing injection on intestinal endotoxemia (IETM) caused by acute liver injury in rats.Methods:40Wister rats were randomly divided into4groups:The control group,4ml/kg tail vein injection of saline;Sham-operated group,4ml/kg tail vein injection of saline;Cecal ligation and puncture (CLP) group,4ml/kg tail vein injection of saline; CLP+Xuebijing group,4ml/kg Xuebijing tail vein injection.The rats were killed15hours later, blood enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay detection of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), with the Reitman-Frankel test alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), with a dry chemical detection bilirubin (TB), while the liver is observed by light microscope histological changes of the liver.Results:1. Sham-operated rats ALT, AST, TB, TNF-a were elevated not obvious, compared with the control group, no significant difference (P>0.05), and CLP+Xuebijing group was significantly (P<0.01);2. CLP rats of ALT, AST, TB, TNF-αwere significantly increased compared with the control group, sham operation group, CLP+Xuebijing group differences were statistically significant (P<0.01);3. CLP+Xuebijing rats ALT, AST, TB, TNF-α were significantly elevated compared with the control group the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01).4. The general form of liver tissue: Open the abdominal cavity, was found in control group rat liver colors of red, soft, non-bleeding point; sham-operated group rat liver with the control group; CLP rat liver color dark red, increase, quality hardware, with multiple bleeding points; CLP+Xuebijing rats’liver color between the control group and the CLP group, increasing the obvious, quality fraction harder, less bleeding point.5. Light microscope, the pathological changes of the liver: Normal liver cells, no abnormal morphology, interstitial non-congestive; sham-operated group no significant changes in cell morphology, interstitial non-congestive; CLP group of liver cells cloudy swelling, hydropic degeneration, interstitial congestion; CLP+Xuebijing group liver cell water degeneration, mild interstitial congestion.Conclusion:The IETM caused by CLP, can lead to acute liver damage. After treatment by Xuebijing, ALT, AST, TB, TNF-a in the serum significantly decreased, and liver cell injury was reduced.
