ABSIRACIAlzheimer disease is the most common form of dementia among older people, whose clinical manifestations include loss of memory, cognitive dysfunction and seriously affecting a person’s ability to carry out daily activities. As no one fully understands what causes Alzheimer’s disease yet, and there is currently no cure. Some drugs can only help keep symptoms from getting worse for a limited time. Meanwhile, much home caregiving is needed by patient. Alzheimer caregivers mainly are the spouse, the sons and daughters. They need information about Alzheimer’s disease, clinical manifestations, treating methods, caregiving skills and so on. Internet is used widely in many filed which can transmit information vary fast. The paper mainly aims at solving the shortness of internet information service for consumer health on the basis of literature and website research. At present, the main retrieval methods are keywords-based and classification. Therefore, consumers can go on latent semantic indexing according to their own understanding, which lead to the low accuracy. Besides, as the difference exists between consumer health vocabulary and professional medical vocabulary, a big "information gap" lies between the health consumers and medical staffs. As a result, latent sematic indexing need the mapping made between these words. Firstly, the research uses Web page extraction, user question statistical and chatting records export, then using a software system on Chinese automatic word segmentation, looking for high frequency vocabularies. Finally, we construct a thesaurus. Protege4.3is the latest software for building ontology. Through the domain ontology building software of protege4.3, the top-lever four classes are set as Alzheimer’s disease, home nursing skills, hospitals and organizations, health education. Finally, the research builds the Alzheimer’s disease home nursing domain ontology by drawing from CMeSH, Alzheimer’s disease vocabulary and other public health thesaurus.
