With the rapid developmet of science and technology, especially thedevelopment of artificial intelligence, Ontology has being used more and more ofenin knowledge management and knowledge representation. OWL(Web OntologyLanguage) standards, which are developed by W3C, have become a better weaponfor knowledge representation knowledge knowledge sharing and so on. OWL as anontology language, which is designed to describe the domain knowledge, isComputer-oriented and Web-oriented, but it is hard for human raise to understand. The goal of ontology is to describe the domain knowledge to the machine, tobecome a bridge of communication between human and machine. Ontology helpscomputer to serve people better.In2010, China has the most of diabetes in the world. Nowadays there are atleast100million people suffering diatetes estimated by experts. Diabetes hasseriously endangered people’s lives. Although it is difficult to cure diabetes, theproper treatment can reduce patient’s pain and extend the length of life. The main work of this paper has there parts. Firstly, introduce the technologyof Ontology. Define the Concepts individuals and properties of diates area withdomain experts. We build domain ontology of diabetes area by useing protégéas thetool, by using OWL to descript the ontology, by using skeleton method as thebuilding method.Secondly, redesign the details of similarity calculation based on semanticdistance in the query part. Put the concept of correlation into the similaritycalculation. This kind of method can make the result suit the diatbetes domain muchbetter. The last part is system design. We use JE to get the participle list of user inputsin the query part, and then calculate the simlilary and correlatin of every word in thelist with the keywords of the domain ontology in HowNet. Return the result ofsimlilary calculation to the user. The result is sort by descending.
