The serious ecological environment problems and natural resources crisis were getting critical day by day, it was urgent to improve ecological environments by implementing forestry projects. Omni-directional recognizing forest functions in forestry ecology constructions; improving low quality, low afforesting surviving rates, solving periodical occurring of plant diseases of present forest situations in our country; alleviating confliction between full-playing of three major forestry benefits and fast-developing economy, increasing-demands of the people; solving afforesting difficulties, low surviving rates and conserving problem in arid district; probing boldly and practices scientifically ; finding out effective way of afforesting the following things must be done to resolve the problem.Based on practicing, summarizing, investigating current situations and exploring technology of afforestation in Yangcheng county, we found a good way to our province's artificial afforestation in arid mountain region. The results showed: 1. Container seedling greatly improved survival percentage stocks in arid-stony mountain areas; 2.Container seedling increased and improved growth next year of young trees in arid-stony mountain area; 3.The growth of the young trees using container seedlings were better than the naked seedlings; 4.Container seedlings got good social effects; 5.Container seedlings were less cost than naked seedlings,It will be current in arid-stony mountain area to afforest by container seedlings; 6. Seeking truth from facts and afforesting by scientific and technologic means were good points to improve afforestation qualities in deserted mountains.
