| Eggplant (Solarium melongena L.) stems from of South-East Asia and India, and has very long culture history in China. It is a kind of familiar vegetable which is liked and accepted by many people. Eggplant fits warm. In greenhouse or early spring field culture it often is back of pollination because of low temperature, low illumination or no pollination agency. This situation results in loosing flowers and fruits, reducing benefit. Now, in our culture we use auxin in order to avoid loosing flowers, but it will waste much many time and money. What's more if we don't use auxin right, plants can be damaged—fruits are abnormal and have some rudimental chemical, and then the quality and value of fruits will reduce so that it is harm to culture "green-eggplant" . So it is essential to have eggplant breed which resists low temperature and low illumination. Parthenocarpy is a phenomena which plant has not be pollinated but has fruit without seeds after bloom. Parthenocarpy breed can overcome loosing flower and fruit in greenhouse, improve fruiting ratio, improve yield and reduce cost. Meanwhile, parthenocarpy fruits which have no seeds or have thin seeds so that improve value and accord with our value breeding aim. It is importance to breed good eggplant varieties by studying eggplant parthenocarpy germ plasm. It can guide parthenocarpy breeding by working out parthenocarpy genetic regulation. The molecular marker which links with parthenocarpy gene can be used in eggplant parthenocarpy MAS, shorten breeding tenor. In this test, parthenocarpic line of eggplant were used as material to study the effect of temperature and bud stage treatment on parthenocarpic gene expression of eggplant; studied it's genetic regulation; studied eggplant's AFLP analysis system; got a AFLP marker. The main results are as follows:1. D-10 is a kind of facultative parthenocarpy eggplant which expresses this characteristic under low temperature. The temperature which induces parthenocarpic gene expression range from 7℃ to 15℃.2. Getting ride of stigmas of eggplant buds is one of the quick and accurate ways to identify the eggplant parthenocarpy. And this method do not affect normal growth of parthenocarpic fruit. Because this method needn't segregate flowers, it is so simple, quick and efficient that we cut about 1mm stigmas before bloom 1-2d.3. D-10's parthenocarpy is controlled by single dominant nucleus gene. We research eggplant... |
