The nut quality , leaf modality ,shell structure , and mineral content were studied in the different varieties, different place of producing, and different harvest stages walnuts. The experiment probed the changes and correlations on the main matter of walnut at its harvest stages, aiming at offering scientific basis for improved cultivars selection and culturing of walnut .The main results were as follows:1. Kernel weight per centimeter of walnut existed significance positive correlation of length of apical leaflet, nut shape and every leaflet shape had remarkable or extremely positive correlation, the content of crude fat was correlated with existing remarkably positive in thickness of the optical leaflet, disease fruit rate has remarkable or extremely negative correlation in compound leaf petiole and length, width , area , thickness of the second , third leaf . There is certain reference value in utilizing the leaflet to select good cultivars.2. The correlation was significantly or very significantly positive in kernel ratio and shell thickness, mechanical intensity ,and shell seal grade .Kernel weight per centimeter was significantly negative in shell thickness. This proved that shell is thinner, and kernel ratio is higher. But kernel ratio is too high, shell is very thin , or shell seal grade is not close, it is apt to present the naked kernel, dehiscent nut, does not accord with the demands for commodity production .So propose giving proper adjustment to shell thickness and kernel ratio index in national standard.3. When walnut was ripe , the content ration of N , P or K in the leaf, shuck and kernel remarkably varied. The allocation proportions of N, P element were arranged in the same order, the content ration followed a descending order in the organs of kernel, leaf, and shuck. The content ration of K element was descending of shuck, leaf, and kernel. The K content in the shuck was higher than the content of N, P element in the shuck, and higher than the K content in the leaf and kernel obviously.4. Walnut quality is decided by the variety characteristic mainly, but mineral nutrition of tree body exerts a tremendous influence to the biosynthesis to the organic matter. The N content of shuck was correlated with existing remarkably positive in kernel ratio, and negative in lipids content in the kernel. The correlation was significantly negative in the P content and lipids content in the kernel. The K content in the leaf was correlated with kernel ratio existing remarkably negative .The K content in the kernel was correlated with weight per nut , kernel weight per centimeter , and lipids of the kernel existing remarkably or extremely negative .The correlation was significantly positive between the K content in the shuck and kernel weight per centimeter, but negative between the K content of shuck and nut shape...
