The research systematically analyzed and summarized the research achievements, curruent application and development tendency related to crop growth and development model and computer simulation technology at home and abroad. According to the current research works, a study and exploration on application of maize simulator system based on Internet had been finished on the basis of the digestion and absorption of the advanced research results.Based on system analysis and system design, application system of maize simulator, which combined with Internet technology, database technology, WebGIS technology and visual technology, had been implemented with weblization and componentition.With the technology of object-oriented development and the technological advantages of JSP, Servelet and JavaBean, the network environment of the simulator running based on cross-platform language Java was built up and the maize dynamic simulator components have been constructed. The system could utilize the strong spacial information processing ability of WebGIS to analyze and present the spacial distribution of the results that the maize simulator run and utilize the chart engine ChartDirector which had meticulous and beautiful presentation to represent the result data ocularly from the maize simulator.On the basis of adjusting the parameters of the maize simulator, the system could simulate the maize growth and development status under different eco-environmental and offer users the optimal decision. Especially in modernizational agricultural production, it could realize a high-efficient and precise production and the optimal utilization of natural resources such as light, temperature, water and fertilizer.
