Along with the speedy development of garden project, the demand of city gardening, city beautifying and coloured drawing is up and up.Existing garden plants can't satisfy with the high standard need, the four seasons sight has been the necessary trend of development.So, quickening the introduction of wild floral is an important way for city gardening, these wild flora have colorful flower color ,special flower form,long flower period,high viability,and have the smell of nature,the nature color et,utilize wild flowers' traits to apply for the city gardening,city beautifying and city perfuming,or apply for the ornament by yard culture,room culture, cutting flower and so on.Pyrola calliantha belongs to Pyrolaceae Family, and it is an evengreen wildflower in north China, white or pink flower , florescence is June-July, fruition is July-September.Fyrola calliantha has cold resistance, shade resistance and anthesis in summer,so it is a good gardening and greening material in the northern area.It has been used as a herbal medicine in Herbalist iatrology.The scientists are studying mainly on direct application, distributing and classification of the flower, but not on the culture and propagation of the flower.This paper have studied its adaptation, tissue culture, anatomical structures in rhizome and leaf, physiology and biochemical characteristic.Therefore, this research is helpful for developing and making good use of the cold resistant plant in north China.(l)adaptation Some of Pyrola calliantha picked from Saihanba were planted in flowerpot,and parked indoor,the others were planted in dankness environment below the forests.As a result,the survive ratio of Pyrola calliantha indoors was very low, but the latter, the way corp was growing all right, abloom in gear, and living through the winter safely which shows it is feasible of introducting Pyrola calliantha to the local area. The burgeon test showed that the seeds of the Pyrola calliantha have dormant habit.(2)tissue culture Owing to the seeds of the Pyrola calliantha.having dormant habit,tissue culture was put into practice.The explant are rhizome and leaf of Pyrola calliantha It has the best result by using 0.1% HgCl₂ for 7min for the explant of rhizome, for 5min for the explant of leaf.(3)anatomical structures Studies on the microstructure in rhizome and leaf of Pyrola calliantha was done with the paraffin section method.
