In order to fulfill the requirement of nursery stock of Tilia , the cutting propagation technism of Tilia mandshurica Rupr.et Maxim and Tilit mongolica Maxim, were studied and the rooting mechamism of green shoot cutting were researched from physiologic and anatomic aspects.The main conclution are as follow:(1) Using the cuttings from central parts of this year's half-lignified branches which were selected from 2~3 years old parent plants, the sprouting cutting of Tilia mandshurica Rupr.et Maxim, which were treated with 2000mg/kg IBA, Ag., 500mg/kg IBA+Ag. or 500mg/kg ABTi+Ag., had the higher rooting rate of over 80%. The woody cutting of of Tilia mandshurica Rupr.et Maxim, which were select from the central parts of one-year-old branches ,whose rooting speed had already been accelerated by inverting insert ,were treated with 500mg/kg IBA, and it had a highest rooting rate of 66.4%. The sprouting cuttings of Tilit mongolica Maxim, select from the upper parts of the half-lignified branches of the 2-3 years old parent plants, were treated with 500mg/kg ABTj and it had a highest rooting rate of 70%. The river sand were used as basic material, The treatment whose rooting rate was higher also had the seedlings with higher quantity of root and longer root.(2) By comparing with the green shoot cutting and the woody cutting of Tilia mandshurica Rupr.et Maxim, it is significantly clear that the rooting rate, the quantity of roots and the root length in green shoot cutting are better than in woody cutting. Therefore, the green shoot cutting of Tilia mandshurica Rupr.et Maxim is easier survival than the woody cutting .(3) Studies on the relationship between endogenous hormone and root research indicated that: Before the green shoot cuttings, the content of IAA, ABA, GA3 of two Tilia. species vary with the cutting from different part of branch,the same in rooting period.different with the region of cutting before the green shoot cutting of tow specie of Tilia and in the rooting period the content of IAA, ABA ,GAs is also different . The content of endogenous hormone is correlated with the rooting rate. But the different endogenous hormone has different effect on cutting rooting. The content of IAA is positively correlated with rooting rate, ABA is negatively correlation with the rooting rate, and the relation between GA3 and the rooting rate is unascertainment, its correlated coefficient is low. The ratio of endogenous hormone take effect on cutting rooting .IAA/ABA ratio is positively corrected with the rooting. Therefore, IAA/ABA ratio is considered the criterion to weighing up the rooting rate of Tilia.(4) Studies on the relationship between the content of nutritive substance and the rooting rate research indicated that: Before the green shoot cutting, the content of nutritive substance of two Tilia.species vary with the cutting from different part of branch. The basal cuttings nutritive substance is more than the upper of branch. Its content is not important to the rooting rate. During rooting of cuttings, the content of nutritive substance rised first and then decreased. Generally the rooting of cutting consumes nutritive substance. The content of nutritive substance in the treat of high rooting rate is higher than that of the low rooting rate during rooting. So it is positively correlated with rooting rate. In addition, C/N ratio is not close to the rooting rate.(5) Studies on the relation between the phenol contents and the rooting research indicated that: Before the green shoot cutting, the content of phenol substance of two Tilia.species vary with the cutting from different part of branch.The content sequence is the Upper part>central part >basal part of It is positively correlated with the rooting.the trend of the phenol content is decrease-increase-decrease. The rooting of cutting consumes phenol contents too, and the change scope of the content of phenol in the treat of high rooting rate is high during rooting.
