Seven isozymes by 56 pummelo (Gtrus grandis Osbeck) sumples were analyzed by means of polyacrylamid gel electrophoresis.Their morphological characters as leaf, flower, branch , pollen and horticultural traits were also studies. The results were shown as follows.1. Germplasm native to western Hubei have characteristic isozyme bands and morphological style of leaf, pollen and fruit, it indicates that these resources contain abundant variations.2. The cultivas originated form marine area have less isozyme bands than those originated form the continental area , it proves that the marine pummelos come from the continental pummelos to some extent.3. There are obvious differences among 'shatian' pummelos, so as to 'Jingxiang' pummelos.the cultivars,it should be considered fully during the collection process of pummelo germplasm.4. Isozyme analysis is an effective method when identifying pummelo resources . |
