| The PCR-RFLP technique was applied to analyze the polymorphism of estrogen receptor (ESR)gene, follicle-stimulating hormone P subunit (FSH P ) gene, Prolactin receptor (PRLR) gene, retinol binding protein 4 (RBP4) gene, fucosyltransferase 1 (FUT1) gene, heart fatty acid-binding protein (H-FABP) gene in three lines of Jinhua pigs. The SPSS software was used to analyze the effect of ESR, FSH P , PRLR and H-FABP on some reproductive traits (number born alive, NBA; total number born, TNB; dead fetus number, DFN; stillbirth number, SN; female birth weight, FEW; birth weight, BW) in Jinhua pig line I . The results were as the following.There were only monomorphisms found in the FUT1, RBP4, and the second intron of H-FABP, and polymorphisms found in the ESR, FSH P , PRLR and the 5'-upstream region of H-FABP gene in Jinhua pigs. The polymorphism of FSH P was only in Jinhua pig line I , but with the low frequency of allelic B (0.0120). The genotypes frequencies of AA, AB, BB for ESR were 0.0237, 0.3609, 0.6154 for Jinhua pig line I ; 0, 0.5333, 0.4667 for Jinhua pig line II and 0.2909, 0.6, 0.1091 for Jinhua pig line III. The genotypes frequencies of AA, AB, BB for PRLR were 0.2560, 0.3929, 0.3512 for Jinhua pig line I ; 0.2, 0.2667, 0.5333 for Jinhua pig line II and 0.1273, 0.4909, 0.3818 for Jinhua pig line III. The genotypes frequencies of HH, Hh, hh for H-FABP were 0.3780, 0.5549, 0.0671 for Jinhua pig line I ; 0.9024, 0.0976, 0 for Jinhua pig line II and 0.8654, 0.1346, 0 for Jinhua pig line III.Significant associations were found for the ESR locus with later parities NBA, all parities NBA and TNB (P<0.05) and later parities NBA (P=0.061) in Jinhua pig line I . The additive effects of allelic B were 0.70 and 0.66 for NBA in later parities and all parities respectively, and 0.90 and 0.84 for TNB in later parities and all parities respectively.Significant associations were found for the FSH P locus with SB in first parity (P=0.001). The additive effects of allelic B are 1.9 for SB in first parity. No significant associations of FSH P locus with other reproductive traits.No significant associations were found for the PRLR locus with NBA, TNB, DFN and BW. But PRLR genotypes significantly (P<0.05) affect SBN and FEW in later parities and FBW in all parities. The additive effect of allelic A is 0.13 for SBN in later parities, and genotype AB has the highest FBW.No significant associations were found for the H-FABP locus with NBA, TNB, DFN and BW. But H-FABP genotypes significantly (P=0.015) affect SBN in later parities, and significantly (PO.01) affect FBW in later parities and in all parities as well. The additive effects of allelic H are 0.0665 and 0.0564 for FBW in later parities and all parities, respectively. The additive effect of allelic H is 0.06 for SBN.The interaction of ESR and PRLR significantly (P<0.05) affect NBA and TNB in all parities, DFN and SBN in later parities, and significantly (P<0.01) affect FBW in later parities.The interaction of ESR and H-FABP significantly (P<0.05) affect NBA in later parities, TNB and SBN in all parities, and significantly (P<0.01) affect TNB and SBN in later parities, FBW in later parities and all parities.The interaction of PRLR and H-FABP only significantly (P<0.05) affect FBW in later parities and all parities.However, no significant association of ESR, PRLR and H-FABP with the reproductive traits in first parity of Jinhua pig (P<0.05). |
