The soybean experiment was conducted in pot with calcareous soil in north China. By the design method of complete random block. Soil available phosphate the number of phosphorus bacteria and the activity of alkaline phosphate-enzyme were studied after using phosphorus bacteria fertilizer. The result had shown that its function was obviously different in different phosphorus form soils. The P-solubilizing ability was low in the poor available phosphate soil. Phosphorus bacteria fertilizer couldn't improve the content of available phosphate in rich available phosphate soil. But the P-solubilizing ability was best in rich sparingly soluble phosphate soil. As were shown by the followings:(1) The amount of soil phosphorus bacteria was significantly improved in the early growing period of soybean in rich sparingly soluble phosphate soil. This trend can last to maturity.(2) Phosphorus bacteria fertilizer could decrease the content of sparingly soluble Ca10-P and alleviate-soluble Ca8-P and increase the content of Ca2-P and Al-P in the poor available phosphate soil and in the rich sparingly soluble phosphate soil. So it increased the content of soil available phosphate. But in the rich available phosphate soil whether using phosphorus bacteria fertilizer or not had little effect to various inorganic phosphorus forms.(3) In the poor available phosphate soil, when phosphorus bacteria fertilizer was not used, the value of R/S was 17.85. When phosphorus bacteria fertilizer was used, the value of R/S was 22.14. The latter was 1.24 times as much as the former. In the rich available phosphate soil, its R/S was less. Whether using phosphorus bacteria fertilizer or not, the value of R/S has not distinction. In the rich sparingly soluble phosphate soil which used phosphorus bacteria fertilizer. The quantity of phosphorus bacteria in rhizosphere of soybean was significantly increased. The R/S of phosphorus bacteria amount to 40.5. When no using phosphorus bacteria fertilizer, the R/S of phosphorus bacteria was 28.8.(4) In the rich sparingly soluble phosphorus soil, phosphorus bacteria fertilizer could significantly improve the activity of soil alkaline phosphate-enzyme.(5) In the rich sparingly soluble phosphorus soil .phosphorus bacteria fertilizer could increase the content of soil available phosphate. In contrast with the control, phosphorus bacteria fertilizer could increase the yield of soybean by 7.59%.
