| Plants are the important resources of natural medicament Man has the increasing demand for natural medicament for its superiorities. However, some natural medicinal plants are in short supply because of the destruction of natural environment, unlimited exploiting and cult technology. Chemical synthesizing botanical Pharmaceuticals cannot be generalized because of the limitation of cost, technology and drug resistance etc. So, it has important economic and social sense producing natural medicament by biotechnology. For the purpose of seeking new resources of Radix phytolaccae, callus was separately induced from the root, stem and leaf of cultivated Radix phylaccae . And the single cell clones were obtained through the cell suspension culture and plating culture. Meanwhile, influences of culture conditions (light, temperature, phytohor-mone etc. ) on callus induction and growth, cell suspension culture and plating culture were studied, moreover, the optimum culture condition was screened. The results of TLC showed that the callus had all the medical constituents (saponin, steroids, alkaloid and histamine )contained in cultivated Radix phytolaccae, and the content of saponin in callus induced from the root was higher than cultivated Radix phytolaccae, when the content of histamine was lower. There is a kind of red natural pigment in the stem and root of. Cultivated Radix phytolaccae. hi this experiment, culture system for biosynthesizing pigment of Radix phytolaccae was established. The cell lines of high production pigment were screened by observing the color of the single cell clones, and the influences by various factors on stability and the character of pigment were determined.Alkaloid is the main diuretic component of Radix phytolaccae. The alkaloid content was about 2 times higher than its parent through screening of high production cell lines. There were five kinds of alkaloids contained in Radix phytalaccae callusshowed by the systematic separation and TLC, including a kind of alkaloid of weak alkalescence, three kinds of alkaloids of neutral, strong alkalescence and a kind of water soluble alkaloid. |
