Lilium spp. the genernic name of all lilium types which belong to monocotyledon Liliaceae. With the development of market-directed economy, L.davidiivar.Cotton is being in demand exceeds suppy, the requirement of seed is increasing.The main quick reproduce way of Lilium are small bulb reproduce.Scale by cutting and systerm tissue.L.davidiivar.Cotton belongs to L.davidii mutation.,for being big,white tint, thick meat and sweet,it is the best breed for eating. In addition,medicine made from Lilium can moisten lung,stop cough and make flighty heart calmly.In this study, L.davidiivar.Cotton was used for single flake reproduce by cutting . Observed the morphology course of small bulb on cutting flake under the microscope .L.davidiivar.Cotton was bought from xi guo yuan village.On april 28,2001.devided the lilium flake into three parts : inner, middle.outer.and sanitized them.then put them into sixteen matrices after having cured the water. Tissue in the normal temperature 20 ~ 25℃. After 45 days of having tissued, the record showed that the three parts flake of L.davidiivar Cotton did not have the same differentiation ability in the same matrices.The alive rate in each matrices is: the middle is the best, the outer is the worst and the innner is better. In sixteen matrices,the alive rate in G matrices is the hightest,the inner scale and the middle scale alive rate are 230.4 % and236.8 % . the inner scale and the middle scale alive rate are 184.2 % . and 226.1 % in H matrices.only lower than in G matrices.But small bulb ' s root grow better in H matrices.In order to deeply improve the ability of scale differentiation, dipped some scale into different liquor which have different concentration.the liquor is called NAA.The result showed when NAA's concentration is 0.15g/L,the ability of scale differentiation is the best and 0.15g/L is the best concentration to improve small bulb 's root differentiateion too.The distribution of small bulb have a polarity, takeing up one neat row in scale by cutting front axle notch of edge.Descovered by microsurey, the small bulb formed by level cells which originate from scales by cutting is external origination. The level cells forms unrules large towers.whith have mound shapes, strick shapes and lobate shapes etc. These towers differentiate and form small bulb by two ways: one way is that towers begin to differentiate from their center ; another is that towers begin to differentiate from the tops of towers or their sides and appear small sunken concaves.Small bulb's forming haven't two opposite polarity in early period;The forming process of pattern of small bulb haven't physiology isolation; Do not appear to differentiate from one cell to two cells and to many cells embryo. So small bulb's forming belongs to organogenesis.First, differentiate small bulbs ,thengrow roots in their base, different small bulbs grow roots during different period .Some scales by cutting only can differentiate uncertain roots from the depth of tissue and uncertain roots are internal orignation .Some scales not only can differentiate uncertain roots in one side of near soil, but also can differentiate small bulb in another side. Whether small bulb or uncertain roots have only one polarity. They will develop and form individul plants or not depending on deeply research.
