Studies On Pathogeny Speciality Of Duck Swollen Head Septicemia

this paper has studied on Duck Swollen Head Septicemia virus' culture characteristic, virulence, form, physical and chemical characters etc. The study result attest that this virus can be cultured in duck embryo, but it can't grow in chick embryo , DEF(duck embryo fibroblast) and CEF(chick embryo fibroblast). The DELD50 of this virus is 10-5.78/0.2ml. The virus is round, no envelope, about 65-70 nm in diameter by electronic microscope. The nucleic acid of this virus is double strand RNA, the whole genome is bigger than 19Kbp. It can not hemagglutinate CRC(cock red cell), DRC(duck red cell), GRC(goose red cell),RRC(rabbit red cell),SRC(sheep red cell), and has no sensitivity to chloroform. It's virulence has no obvious change with 0.25% trypsinase in two hours. It also can resist heat, acid and alkali environment.There is no antigen relativity between Duck Swollen Head Septicemia virus and Duck Plague virus.
