The inactived strain Ameromonas caviae CSS-4-2 ,the pathogenic bacteria of Carasstus auratus ofpenze(2) x Cyprinus acutidorsalis( &) bacterial septicemia has been vaccinated New Zealand rabbit. Agglutination titres of CSS-4-2 antiserum is 640. Three immunological methods including Dot-ELISA method > Fluorescent Antibody Technique staining method and slide agglutination method were used to detect the whole cell antigen of bacteria CSS-4-2. The minimum detection level of Dot-ELISA method. Fluorescent Antibody Technique staining method and slide agglutination method is separately 10 cells/ml, 105cells/ml,108cells/ml.Pathogenic bacteria were detected in the liver, spleen and kidney tissues of 22 clinically death or distinctly diseased fishes which were artificially infected by the strain of CSS-4-2,the positive detection rate of Dot-ELISA method was 97%,while the positive detection rate of slide agglutination method for isolate bacteria wasdifferent.Superfiltrate test has indicated that septicemia of Carasstus aurattts ofpenze(f) x Cyprinus acutidorsalis( &) was great probably caused by cytotoxicity produced by the strain CSS-4-2. Carasstus auratus ofpenze(-P) x Cyprinus acutidorsalis( ? were immunized by abdominal cavity injection at 25-32 癈. Ten days after immunization the highest agglutination titres reached 88.The relatively survival percent (RSP) reached the highest 30 days after immunization. RSP attained 100% for group CSS-4-2 bacterial vaccine + adjuvant and 80% for group CSS-4-2 bacterial vaccine only. After that, The RSP of both groups gradually decreased. When heat inactived vaccine was kept at 4 XT for 9 days only 30%,the RSP would be only 30%.
